Quote: leicester_rhino "I think Buderus started the game poorly with two errors which set the tone for the game.'"

I don't want to be funny, but that is like a lazy newspaper comment.

He made the errors, and no excuses for him, but the first one hardly set the tone for the game, considering that within a minute of that we were up their end of the field, and spent the next 5 minutes there with successive sets. Had Bailey scored as he should have done, that first error by Buderus would never have been mentioned.

Quote: Fallon "Whoa whoa whoa! What have you been taking?

Yes Buderus had a shocker at Wembley but like Ive said, that's one game. His first season was a right off due to injuries but IMO we look a far better attaccking side when Diskin is off the pitch.'"

Why have I been taking something because I have a different opinion to yours?

Have we looked a far better attacking side this year than we did from July onwards last year after Buderus broken leg when Diskin was given back full conrtol of the ruck? Have we really? Because results would suggest otherwise.

'"

You shoudl watch it. Senior was immense. yet Buderus got all the plaudits on here.

Quote: Gotcha "In all fairness though I think Senior's probably won us a couple more than that this season also. He is no scapegoat for me, I only comment on what I see. And ball in hand I never critisize the guy, I am only having a pop at his defence (just one aspect of his play), which I have continually commented on all season, and on most occassions continually got negative comments back from certain posters.'"
Isn't that all I have been doing with Kirke's softness in the collision this year? When I do it why is it I have an agenda and am scapegoating but it's a horse of a different colour when you critique Senior?

You would have a point, except I have never crtisized Senior on stats alone without seeing the match, you have with Kirke.

I have never started a thread to have a pop at a player, you have.

I can see what you are saying, but you need to take into account the two important points above. And lets not forget here, had you actually been consistently fair with all players, then your comments about Kirke I don't think are wrong at all, and I am in agreement with you.

I never critisize a player that I would not critisize another one for if doing the same thing.

Regardless of the silly Diskin vs Buderus bickering or the game on saturday IMO Buderus has been a little disappointing considering the reputation he came over with.

Now that is a balanced view and one that is closer to the mark than the fest most of the Buderus' fan boys indulge in.

What difference does it make if you have a pop at a player by starting a thread and contributing to one?

I've never slated a player for his hair style, you have. Now who has agendas and who has reasoned opinion?

A a full supporter of any player in a rhinos kit, I don't have an agenda against any player. But, Buderus has been quite a disappointment for me. I think he is a great player, and truly does add something 'different' to the game, just not Leeds' game. The rest of the team looks uncomfortable playing with him. Our attack may increase from him, but the rest of the team don't quite know what to do with it. I also think that Diskin's performances are slightly lack-lustre when he is played as second to him. I'm not saying he's not a good player, but it doesn't seem to work in our team.

Its a balanced and close to the mark view in your opinion, but that still doesn't make it right or wrong, and certainly gives no back up whatsover to pointless name calling that comes to anyone defending Buderus.

IMO, when Buderus has been on the field he's in the most been excatly what I expected from him, and far from dissapointing. If others expected some kind of super hero and not really living in reality to the game, then that is their problem. What as however been a slight dissapointment is that he hasn't been on the field enough.

Waiting for hindsight and criticising those who were off the mark isn't an opinion.

Once again I think Gotcha is on the mark.

Buderus came over with a reputation for playing a certain type of game, and on the whole he has played that game. You also have to remember that his first season was interupted by injury, not unlike a certain Mr Eastwood who we have also not seen the best of this year.

What did people actually expect from Buderus? 3o tries a season? Length of the field bursts? Fleary style hits? His game is moving us up the field and for me, when he has been on, he has done that.

Granted, he may not have played the best game in the world (mind you who exactly did have a good game??) but you have got to say that Leeds have looked a much better team all season when Diskin is on the bench and Buderus is at 9.

You forget that Leeds were God awfull last season and none of the players really hit any kind form until the back end of the season...something that I thought was happening this season until that shower of sh 1te at the weekend.

Buderus is used to playing at a much higher level that SL and it's possible that some of the players round him might not actually be good enough and lack the creativity to play with him...

Only slight ??

The man has been compromised by the silly/gutless insistence of not wanting to rock the boat by dropping Diskin; but instead letting them "share" a match. By all means keep Diskin as first choice reserve full 80 mins hooker, which they both surely are....but the present rotation interchange hooker policy has gone way past its bluddy sell by date. icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:
