Well, if we're going to do it I would start each half with Diskin and bring Buderus off the bench. I simply don't think it works the other way around. Will Buderus accept that role?

Dont really care TBH. In my mind Diskin has been and is there for the long haul. Buderus will be off at the end off this season and Diskin will still be here with McShane coming through.
I think it was wrong for Diskin to lose his squad number to buderus last season..

In fact, Diskin is my new favourite player this year. icon_wink.gif

I hear you Emma. I think too many Leeds fans get excited by what Buderus has done down under (I could care less) whilst being nonchelant about what Diskin has done for US.

That's what I would do. I Can't see that will be a problem with Buderus.Considering Leeds generally finish stronger towards the end of each half then I would think that's the best time to be on.

Wow, and no sarcasm here, that pack will be a force to be reckoned with next year. The only weak link i can see is Ablett as whenever i've seen him he's been gash, although obviously he may have played some blinders when Leeds aren't on sky. Anyway, can't talk about gash second rowers being a supporter of the club where Michael Worrincy plays icon_lol.gif

if ablett is our weak link then we are laughing! ablett has been a key player in our team since 07. playing as a powerful interchange then going on to claim a regular place in the triple champs starting line up, playing second row, loose forward, centre and stand off. ablett for me is awesome and a real unsong hero of the team. he would walk into the bulls team and any other team in sl, he's been a perminant starter for the champs for 2 seasons.

i look forward to more weak links like abbo at leeds

I am sure that I read somewhere that Ablett is often one of the first names down on the team sheet as he puts so much into training and playing.

There was an interesting comment from Barrie on the Gold members season revie. He was talking about Kylie being named third in player of the season by the coaching team, and his comment when something along the lines of, "players are given their own plan for what they are meant to do in the game and it may not result in anything flashy, but in getting the in for the team, like Kylie has done." Kind of see Ablett as being one of these types of players although he does sometimes show flashess of brilliance too.

Bluey summed up Ablett perfectly by say he's the "Glue" that holds the team together and a very underestimated member of the team.

Ablett is vastly underrated by all opposition fans - funny thing is they made all the same comments for years about JJB but don't anymore.

Under the salary cap no club can afford to have superstars in every position that's why players like Ablett & Kirke are so valuable.
They give 100% whenever they play even if they may not be the most naturally gifted or paciest players.
They clearly train well, listen to the coaches & do whatever's asked of them.
A manager/coach's dream I'd have said.
All successful teams have & need players such as these, the unsung heroes & good clubmen.

I wouldn't bracket Ablett in that category at all. The description you give suits Kirke, who is peripheral to the teams' success, but last year Ablett emerged as the kind of player that is glue to the pack. He was arguably our form 2nd rower for large parts of the year and is so much more than the "cheap clubman" that you describe him as.

I agree he has good work rate,he's defensively sound and has more than a decent pair of hands.
