on the whole not too bad considering everything, shocking around the ruck area especially just after half time where we were just falling off and allowing pelliser to do WTF he wanted. Some positives to take from attack, but as mentioned we can be really dumb at crucial times.Hopefully we can get on a run now starting with Huddersfield at home next week, i have no doubt we can be a factor this year still but we can't afford to keep dropping points or we will have too much to do come super 8s.

Signs that the attack is starting click, but the defence was shocking.

Too true. Ferries who again grafted away and will be a great asset, but big but we get back to 24 -20 and he gives away a penalty in possession and we go 30-20 down. Mullalley daft shoulder charge. No urgency to lock scrum in 2nd half when behind.

We talk about missing Sinfield for his kicking and when we talk about organisation people are thinking about attack but he organised so much defensively, and Peacock also.

And just showed again why having a proper hooker defending is important.

The attack is clicking in terms of Sutcliffe getting back to form and our edges working a bit better
But still not enough set plays, I can count on one hand how many times we did a planed run around or block play, its great being able to throw the ball around but Halls try is the only time this season weve actually forced an overlap

Hardaker seems to be starting slow again this season (being in the international squad definatley seems to hamper him), a few hospital passes didnt give the halves any room on the edges and his one on one tackling and try-saving hasnt turned up so far this season, hopefully he turns it round like last year and produces some more MofS performances later in the season

Jury still out for me i think he needs a bit more of a run. I'm more concerned about Walters.GF winning try aside, his defence is really school boyish at times it was last year when he played and tonight some of his one on one attempts were shocking.Although he will always be remembered fondly for that one moment, he can't live off it forever.Just saying

Second half we looked OK at times I thought Watkins and Hall were very good but defence at times is woeful Galloways attempt on Taylor was a disgrace I've been very disappointed with Galloway since his arrival I thought out of all of our signing up until ferres he was best. We could have won that game tonight but defence was poor at times and attack in oops 20 is horrendous. Hopefully some bodies come back next week for Huddersfield and we get back to winning ways

Not sure what some were watching with some of the players mentioned, but hey oh all have opinions.

We have lost three games this season in the league, and two of them two inexcusable bombed tries were the difference. Tonight, I think Thaler played a big part in that defeat. I found it completely bemusing how we only got the one penalty in that second half, when the offside from Catalans and pushing at the play the ball was as bad as any game I have seen.

Lilley did some good things, but some awful choices also, and his defence was absolutely woeful. Though Sutcliffe looked a lot better. Hardaker had a poor first half, and to me cost us possibly a couple of tries by holding on, but in the second half he was a easily our best player, looking to pass, run, and put the effort in. I thought the forwards were poor tonight, and just didn't put enough in, not compared to the Catalans pack. How poorly we handled the Catalans hooker was quite embarrassing at times.

The win was there for the taking tonight, and the mention of Sinfield is very apt, as that would have been a win with him in the side.

Think we would've won with McGuire playing....and would've beaten Wire had he stayed on and had a first half lead vs NQC had he played (then how the 2nd turns out who knows?)

Even though the halves did ok we need McGuire back desperately.

Agree win was there to be taken tonight with better control. Thaler this week and silver wood last week did this new method of taking teams back anything from 10 -15 back and the not bothering about offside, however where Catalans then steamed forward of where Thaler set the line we seemed to stick with him. Reckon McDermott needs to either ask RL if this is going to be case all year and if so get our pack in front of ref.

Thought tonight was much better - particularly in attack.

Lilley & Sutcliffe look like they're starting to gel and Lilley's kicking eliminates a week spot for us. While he always gives 100% it should be noted that Lilley's size does create a weakness and with us on the back foot having him & Burrow on the pitch at the same time creates a lot of work for everyone else.

Regarding the forwards I thought Ferres & Delaney plugged away manfully, Cuthbertson was good as usual. The rest confuse me no end.

Galloway has the size, but doesn't take the ball in at pace. That said he usually makes decent metres in contact.

Singleton takes the ball in at pace but rarely makes metres in contact.

Mullally had very limited minutes and didn't do too much.

Keinhorst & Walters both had some good moments (going forward) and woeful ones (defensively). Obviously Walters has time on his side but still to be convinced either will make anything more than a squad rotation player.

Achurch came on and looked decent but went off again very quickly. Has all the attributes but his fitness record and need to play a lot of minutes to get up to speed are counting against him.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg

Not sure where you got Hardaker as the best player in the second half - Watkins was head and shoulders above every other Leeds player on the field IMO. Where was he for the 2nd Taylor try or the Inu try in the 2nd half

If Catalans hadn't bombed a certain try in the second half it would have been a cricket score once again.

Wasn't Sinfield in the last game against the Dragons? how did that go!!

Leeds should have been good enough to win the game - Catalans were no great shakes - but defensively they were woeful. If Lilley is the next big thing then our standards have dropped significantly since the days of McGuire and Burrow.
