People tell me standard of SL is crap. Jeez in past years the bottom placed team would get beat by 40 against 3rd place team. That was great. Really enjoyed that game.

It was entertaining enough but the quality was terrible, 2 teams with a 61% completion rate and numerous handling errors, the league is close because the top teams have got worse IMO

It was really entertaining. It’s the derbies which I think we should be finding and protecting in SL. Hope KR stay up.

it was terrible. FFS Marty stop digging this hole each week. I don’t believe for one minute you really think this. Absolute woeful quality. Both teams would have been hammered a few years back by lower teams.

Kept commenting how poor this is for a Hull derby. Can not remember one as poor as that for intensity, entertainment, and zero atmosphere.

The new stadium is fantastic. The old South Stand was good for atmosphere, and also good for angry old men blowing their dentures in your face too.

Headingley looks a treat.

I'm sure if we filled it with fans the atmosphere would be just fine. What has been an issue actually is the rebuild going on during a tough time on the playing side - it's like the club lost its heart a bit through the process and can't quite find it again.

If we do go down it'll be interesting how many fans still turn up.

We're going to have to match Cats physically in the early stages, and get at them to erode their confidence. Hard defence and fewer stupid errors and penalties, so we're not working too hard to be effective.

The stadium is superb. I really enjoy going to HQ, probably more than ever.

Seriously we cannot judge the atmosphere until we are back playing something like, having said that watching the Hull KR fans last night who are in a similar position to us they were backing the team to the hilt, we need a bit of that ourselves, the club has given us so much over the last 20 years whatever mess they are in now we do need to stick with them and show some loyalty (I'm not having a go at anyone on here by the way!)

Who knows, maybe relegation backed up by a confident, on-fire team storming the championship will restore the atmosphere better than a side that scrapes survival and backs up with a modest upturn inform

Relegation would be an almost universally Bad Thing, but you're right in that we'd get to watch a younger, more home-grown side busting a gut to return the club to where it belongs. We'd get the Leeds/Bradford derby back.
My concern would be that we would do a Bradford and struggle to come back from the blow - there are plenty of cashed-up and ambitious clubs in the Championship and if we struggled to stay full time/keep the majority of our new squad together we'd be in troubles.
God imagine what McDermott would be thinking bringing Toronto to SL and take Leeds' place in doing so.
