So Saints have gone 3 peat, and deservedly so imho.
However not quite as great an achievement as ours as I don’t class the last two seasons as being ‘fair’ given the farcical (at times) way Covid was handled (and exploited).
But congrats to them as they are clearly the best side in SL and the team to beat next year.

Cracking final and wasn`t bothered who won it.
If only we had Walmsley and I`d be happy with Davis even though he made that mistake.
Knowles also very good.
Full credit to Saints and roll on next season.

Salford, Wigan, Catalans isn’t quite Saints, Saints, Saints at a time when the quality of play isn’t what it was equates to a great legacy but not quite the same as 07-09. IMHO of course…

Its still a great achievement, however I still think that leeds side from 2007 -2009 was a better team than this current saints side, I appreciate it’s difficult to compare.

How can a referee change the rules that the game has been played with all season in the biggest and most important game of the season . Every punch thrown this season has been dealt with in the same way - 10 minutes in the bin . Saints are a very good team but they bend the rules as far as they can - they do not need the referee to give them a helping hand . In such a tight game , that decision was crucial.

Saints now the most successful team in Superleague......keep up Leeds.

And congratulations on that. Think most Leeds fans are praising and admiring of Saints. There is no rivalry there for us.

What a superb game. I know we have a lot of football fans on this forum, but Rugby League, when played like that, is truly something else. We'll done Saints, very well played Catalans. We shouldn't try to belittle or downplay the threepeat. Outstanding achievement. Would love to see us at the big dance in 2022.

Really enjoyed that and always good to see my mother in law happy (unless they're playing Leeds).

Saints had better teams lose GFs than the current team. Up to the rest of SL to get their houses in order because it has been dire for the last couple of years. It was a 2 horse race from the start this season. We are falling ever further behind the Aussies! Their comp this season was outstanding even with the upheaval of moving it North!

You never dominated the comp and win the CC in those years? Only in 2009 did you finish top. Saints came top in 2007 & 2008 and won the CC three times in a row?

who cares who wins the LLS? it's the big one that counts.

It’s fair to say even the great Leeds sides tended to have inconsistent league form. Some of the battles with good Saints and Wigan sides back then were titanic. It’s hard to argue the standard of the comp is higher now than it was in those days.

It’s also fair to say Saints have been way more consistent than Leeds overall throughout the SL era. We fell out of the tree completely.

I just don’t believe the feat of winning the last three titles is particularly comparable in terms of opposition to what Leeds had in their day.

Having said that we’re all working under the same salary cap so there are no excuses either, it is up to the rest to catch up to the current benchmark.

It's simple, if people genuinely believe that the Salford, Wigan and Catalans teams were better than the Saints ones in 07-09 then this Saints Threepeat is more of an achievement than the Leeds one. On the other hand.......

We want big games played with all the stars on the field unless something very serious happens IMO.

people want consistency from officials but only when it suits?

Which, when the big events come around, most likely with the bigger teams in them there's always that "but they didn't pull that last week against us!" line everyone loathes to hear.
This is where it comes from. Inconsistency and baffling decisions or non decisions in this case.
