It's quite simple really. You traditionally set your RADAR altitude at a height beneath which collateral clutter would adversely affect the ability of the operator to distinguish between legitimate threats and harmless airborne traffic.

In truth though, the pathetic little specimen that ran on the football pitch last night wouldnt dare run on a rugby pitch full of real blokes.

Football really is the pits - the fans are generally an embarrassment and seem to lose touch with reality and all moral values when it comes to watching a game - its all about intimidation and aggression, even when their own team scores, they've all got snarls on their face and are frothing at the mouth, gesturing at the opposition fans. But then, when you look at the players, they're not exactly setting a fine example of sportsmanship, teamwork, humility.... Terry, Cole, Suarez, El Haj Diouf, Ched Evans, Joey Barton, Titus Bramble, you could go on and on naming these vile creatures that are paid a gross amount of money to play football and be idolised by young kids - what great role models.

I'll end my rant there, coz I could go on for days about how awful football is, without even mentioning how mind numbing it is to actually watch.

you names seven players out of thousands who do fantastic charity work. how many RL players have committed violent acts on and off the pitch? how many times has violence occured at RL games?
how many RL players have been in jail for violence off the pitch?
don't try to blame football its society. these people should be hammered in the courts but more often than not its a slap on the wrist

That moron who pushed Kirkland should go to jail. Also a lot of so called LUFC fans there last night need to take a look at themselves with their vile chants, as do the many Wednesday fans for their vile chants. As for Dave Jones he should be charged by the FA for his vile and vulgar comments about all Leeds fans.

Sorry, dont remember that one but I did witness a similar incident many years ago when a Widnes fan ran on the pitch and tried to assault Des Drummond. He left the field soon afterwards rather worse for wear.

I'm not a Leeds United fan, nor do I watch football - and I totally condemn the actions of this awful human being. However I also think Dave Jones' comments were awful and I hope he gets punished for them. I find it laughable he says

Its a game where cheating is encouraged by the managers and coaches and practised often to perfection by the practitioners on the field, a game where you concentrate more on getting your opponent penalised than on actually doing the thing that earns you the score, its easier to fall over in the penalty area than actually score the goal, so they do.

Thats the beautiful game, a game that relies on cheating and faking injury, a game where the best ones who cheat and fake are rewarded the highest with salaries that exceed even lottery wins.

The beautiful game also relies on a vile atmosphere of racism on the field of play and on the stands, its a game that condones such behaviour by offering token solutions that even its own players don't fully support and the supporters certainly ignore.

Its a beautiful game, role models for kids everywhere (and you see them repeating the behaviour at junior games every sunday), a wonderful way to introduce your kids to life at its lowest level.

Jail maybe not, but I guess just like last nights assualt, if CK does not press charges the scumbag will get out the assualt and only be charged yet again for breaching his banning order. What has the legal system come to.

In my opinion the incident with Kirkland and the chants aimed at Dave Jones wouldn't have occurred had the stewards and South Yorks police stopped the chants about Jimmy Saville and the 2 Leeds fans that were so brutally murdered in Turkey from the Wednesday fans. People will only take so much before they vent their anger, one person vented it on Chris Kirkland and many supporters chanted at Dave Jones to get back at the Wednesday fans that were allowed to chant their bile without intervention. Dave Jones will probably look back and realise that he overreacted, the same cannot be said about the Sheff Weds stewards and South Yorks police.

How would they have done that exactly? A weak defence.

I named the first 7 that came to mind in the 5 seconds as I was typing, but I could go on forever naming pro-footballers who show nothing but negative traits. The truth is, I could probably count on 1 hand the number of premier league footballers that are 'good' role models.
Of course, some RL players have done wrong, and there have been some issues with crowds over the years - but these are few and far between.
In my own personal point of view, looking at sporting role models for my kids, there are probably a dozen 'good' role models at every super league club - I doubt there are even a dozen in the whole premier league.
For me, football is generally played by low lifes, supported by low lifes, and teaches young kids all the negative aspects of playing sport.

I'm really not condoning the actions of this moron but I had to laugh at the way Chris Kirkland went down like a sack of spuds after getting 'shoved'.

If a policeman or steward was stood 2 yards from a supporter making racist or homophobic comments I would expect him/her to be arrested. The same police and stewards were stood 2 yards from supporters mocking Leeds fans about 2 murdered lads, and did nothing. The lads that were murdered were well known to a lot of Leeds fans, some who no doubt were present, and watched on while stabbing gestures and vile songs were aimed at them. If the police or stewards had detained the supporters inciting trouble it wouldn't have escalated. I don't think that's a weak defence, you don't need to be Clouseau to work out how to prevent a situation escalating.

You're running the danger of almost sounding like you're trying to make excuses for the acts of a few tools. The truth is, the Sheff fans and Leeds fans are one and the same - VILE.

All this garbage about racism in football, and certain players not wearing kick it out t-shirts before a game, to make a point (although it's not really to make a point is it) - its all pathetic.... Footballers are so out of touch with the real world, they could almost be mistaken for politicians.

Was it just one or two making these chants? No hundreds if not thousands. Please tell me how it would be possible to arrest that amount of people. Leeds fans dish out plenty but cant take it. Dont try and defend the idiot!
