| Why go to support the team then walk out without applauding them for their efforts.
Glory hunters the lot of 'em.

I think you've just nailed the reason why Loz got so het up about people leaving early - it stops his bus getting out.

| Quote: RescuedBlue "I left the GB - Aus Tri Nations final at HT when GB were getting thumped
I left early at the Leeds - Widnes 0-38 defeat at home when Andy Currier ripped us apart
I left earlyish when we beat Barrow 90-0 in 1990
However I stayed to the end at Knowsley Road in 2004 (?) when Saints put about 50 points on us
I've watched on TV but still had an opinion about the match afterwards
Depending on my mood, and life in general, I will do things that reflect how I feel. If Leeds were getting torn to pieces and playing sh*t, I suspect I would walk out. However, I might stay if I was enjoying myself
This thread looks like its been started to improve post counts or to "prove" that they went to the game
Personally, I don't give a sh*t what anyone else does, I've got enough on worrying about my own business
I guess the OP must be lonely'"
What he said as well.

If beating the traffic is the best excuse people have then its Bull $hite! if Saving 5, 10, 30 mins, an hour is more important than showing gratitude to our team then you are not my kind of supporter!! And for those of you who use your kids as an excuse then shame on you! They can sleep in the car! Or if you think they are getting home too late? Then the simple answer is don't take em!!'"
Not what he said.
Incidentally, while I very rarely leave games early (when I attend them) I don't think I want to be your kind of supporter. You seem a bit too evangelical about it all for my taste. I tend to think that people can do what they like provided it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Got it nailed spot on eh?
I missed a game on TV between Leeds and Castleford this year to attend a mates birthday. Some on here might want to crucify me for that!

Not true supporters then are they if they leave when the team is losing. Bet that stand wouldn't have emptied as fast if Leeds were winning.

Perhaps not. I will leave their judgement in the hands of Loz and/or St Peter, and the trolling in the hands of you though.

That's all the confirmation that was needed.

If the matches where a free event I could see reason to clap them off. But we pay for their wages (or attract their wages via sponsorship) which is much more than a clap at the end of 80mins.
On the other hand if you left a free grassroots game early it would be disrespectful not to clap them at the end of 80mins.
Pro rugby appreciation = money
Grassroots rugby appreciation = clap

Somebody needs to sit you down and teach you the difference between rugby & real life.

at the end of the day I asked a simple question "why do people do it?"
I was just intriugued, Ill be honest I once left a pre season game after 60mins. Now a days Im usually one of the last people out of the stand
