Ganson's performance hasn't been mentioned as an issue by anyone.

Bentham's was obviously the biggest attention seeking moment of his life, but Ganson's performance justified his selection.

Sinfield is similar to Wellens. Very good at club level and incredibly important to his clubs trophy pile, but not up to international level.

I 'd like to see sinfield given a run of games for england playing the exact role he does for leeds not a bit at 9 or 6 or as an extra 2nd rower!

No,if you disect his international appearences and then see where he was asked to play he's hardly ever been asked to do the role he does for leeds.

It means you would also need to play McGuire and Burrow.

Its the only way you can get Sinfield operating at international level the same he does at club, other SO and SH's just dont get the way Leeds operate I dont think.

I agree mate that "triangle" works well for leeds and to get the best out of sinfield for england we'd have to play to their strengths imo.

We'd just prefer to know prior to the game starting that the offisde rule wasn't going to be applied for most of the evening.

And whilst we're on about Homer Ganson, why wasn't Cunningham binned for 10 minutes for interference on the tryline .... Might it cause too many problems at breakfast time this morning with his Saints supporting kids, if he'd have shown the yellow ?

Thought Ganson had decent game

I thought that Ganson did ok. Couldn't really tell about offside from our seats, but he seemed to be consistent for me, which is all you can ask for

Those weren't the only set of knees used last night ....

Ganson was fine, let if flow, number of penalties fairly few, not whistle happy like some, all in all good.

My only issue with Ganson was that every potential Saints try scoring chance was referred to the video ref for a clear decision yet the Bailey "try" when Webb jumped for the ball was ruled out in an instant. No referral.

I am not saying it was a legitimate try but I am saying it was worth a look by the video ref. Certainly worth as much of a look as Gardner and Eastmonds obvious no trys.
