kallum rolling back the years. what an astute signing
and that pass from Connor was sublime
Highlight of the match for me, that pass. Brad will doubtless want a response to some of the crap defence though. Mind, it's always far better to be seeking improvement following a win than a loss.

| An entertaining game tonight. Some great tries by both teams, but also some woeful defence. Why does Newman look to cause trouble every week? I think him and handley are 2 of the worst centres in the league. We defo need an upgrade. Wouldn’t renew Newmans contract after next year. Not sure why Jenkins doesn’t / didn’t get more minutes tonight. Something to build on after last weeks shambles anyway. Will have to see a big improvement to beat both Wigan and KR. Can’t see anything both those 2 in the GF Thought CM was average again. Watkins is pure class, and that dummy.

| Always nice to come away from a game with the points and having been thoroughly entertained. Yes, some of the defence was woeful, but let's.give credit to a very good attacking Leigh side who never went away. A great attitude to have. Plenty to work on, but as has been said, always better to work on stuff after a win. Oh, and how good is Connor proving to be. Absolutely superb again tonight.

Thoroughly entertaining 80 mins against Leigh side who boast some of the best individual players in the league and play some great rugby. Yes our defence was found wanting at times but Leigh do that to you, as they did to Wigan not long ago. Atmosphere was great, as was the ref, who let the game flow as it should.

| BA didn’t seem too bothered about the defence, just saying that it can happen in some games that are a bit frantic. I get hes got this no nonsense hard persona but I think he knows when to ise it on the pmsyers, I don't think he’ll be that harsh on them as he says its not as if it is happening every week, it was just one of those games.

Not sure what you’re watching RE Newman he was excellent tonight and is looking like will be our only representative for England this autumn. How Wane isn’t considering Connor is ridiculous but not surprising.

The pass for Watkins 2nd try was reminiscent (for older fans) of the great John Holmes. It's starting to look like we have a proper half back pairing now, although they'll be up against the best in the league in Lewis & May next Sunday.

| If entertainment is about lots of points and terrible defence, that was the game to watch. It was like both coaches agreed beforehand it was gonna be box office, with real respect between the teams and no malice or pettiness. I’ve not seen a game played in that manner for quite some time. Jake Connor is worth the admission fee himself. Obviously neither team is a serious contender for the big one with defending like that, and it’s worrying that it came on the back of a poor performance last week. I really thought Arthur would have been into them big time and stiffened that defence up. Great game to watch, unless your a purist, but some worrying signs if we defend like that against K.R next week.

| To be fair, I think Leigh at their best are the best attacking team in the league.
I really like Lam as a coach, I wouldn't mind him taking over from BA.

| Im not overly concerned about the defence, we've been pretty solid all year.
I don't see why we can't compete with Wigan and KR, we've beaten Wigan, nearly beat KR, Wigan lost to Wakefield last week, it's not like they're miles ahead of us.
I think the signs are there, and I'd back us against both teams but next week will really show where we are.
Lots of criticism for our attack earlier in the season, but it really is starting to fire now we've got a settled spine.

| It was one of those games, not too disappointed in the defence as I think that does a disservice to Leigh's attack. They are a free flowing footy team with great switch plays and kept managing to find space out wide. A wins a win and there will not be many teams that put 40+ points against them, as long as we score more than them. Also, a change of game plan does no harm, can't play the same every week. Have to keep the oppo guessing a little sometimes
