Our record since Sinfield returns is lost one, won one against sides we'll face in the 8s. Its not that long ago people were saying we'd easily avoid M8s by beating Hudds and Cats. Then it became beating Wakefield, Widnes and Salford. We've failed on all fronts so far, and the only SL side we have the right to be confident of beating is Widnes. Salford just beat us and KR have improved as well.

The Wire semi will be interesting. If we get hammered then it shows the problem is lack of quality, which is a real worry. If we play well or even win then it suggests the problem is as much attitude as anything else. Almost regardless, assuming we survive a big change in personnel is needed over the next couple of seasons.

No it won’t - it will be blip that can easily be recovered from by a club the size of Leeds.

i agree, all this relegation talk from some fans is almost like they are willing us to fail so they can go "i told you so" the middle 8's are a new competition now, previous form can be somewhat disregarded our season now restarts Sunday with the semis, and the players, club coaching staff all no this.
we will win 5-6 games minimun in the 8's people are massively over estimated the other sides, Hull Kr are the biggest threat to us winning the middle 8's but cannot see anything else other than a few close calls, it wont be easy we will get some battles, but the club is primed and ready to go, watch us fly.
and it will be very close on Sunday and i think we will sneak it, and that will give us a big confidence boost.

At the very least we have to put in a performance full of commitment against Warrington to try and build some much needed momentum and regain some confidence and self respect. It is our last chance this season for silverware and much needed income from a Wembley appearance.

I truly hope the team and coaches aren't assuming we'll walk through the M8s in the same way as some fans. Even if on paper that's true, the games are played on the field, and like it or not there's zero evidence we'll beat KR or Salford on form. One or two injuries in key positions at the wrong time and we'll be right up against it regardless of the opposition (e.g. Myler being out given he's our only halfback), and we certainly can't afford any kind of Challenge Cup distraction causing us to throw away even one game.

I see the semi final as a really interesting gauge as to how much of our problems are down to lack of quality, and how much down to players taking the proverbial. Either way a big shake up is required, but whilst attitude can be fixed with the right leadership, not being good enough can't.

Pretty sad position to be in but I will be happy with no injuries.

If ablett and garbutt miss out, we are hoping on playing mullally, Delaney and JJB. Can't remember when the 2 old stagers last played and we don't know why mullally has not been playing.

If Some of those miss out or breakdown in the game we will be in a right state. Can you throw all 3 into a SF having not played in ages?

It would be a tough game with Ward, Watkins, Garbutt (Thompson, Crosby) in the squad. Without them it looks really tough.

Fingers crossed we step up this week - there's still enough talent in that team regardless.

This squad just shows how reliant we are on Myler. He’s played well for most of this season, but can’t do it on his own.

What is the played/missed ratio for Ward and Garbutt ?
Both great players when fit but they rarely string a couple of games together it seems.
