If Leigh don't get promoted he's off. As has been said before, I reckon there has been some sort of deal done. He's probably been asked , "stay one more year help us get up , if we don't you can go" I remember reading at the time that Brierlys nose was out of joint because the rejected bid from us. Nobody wants a unsettled player, especially one so important to a side trying for promotion. Hence why I think something has been done to keep his mind on the job at Leigh.
He would be a class signing. He could have a year learning off arguably the best support player in McGuire the superleague has ever seen.

Still can't see it. It has too many salary cap implications for it to be left hanging in the air until October. Looking for a new hooker, what can we afford on the SC....well depends because they're might be a Brierly sized hole on the wage list if Leigh get promoted. Aiton took the Catalans offer for presumably more money and here we are not knowing if Brierly is even going to be on our salary cap next year.

Not how GH works I'm afraid despite what rumours are knocking about or if Brierly has strangely decided to tell some random people his contract situation (has he told his milkman, dentist and the girl behind the checkout at his local supermarket too). Ellis not ending up at Leeds and Cuthbertson, Garbutt and Galloway all ending at Headingley even though no one heard a peep on that show that people don't really know in inner workings as much as they like to boast.

GH enquired about him TWICE in pre-season. Leigh rejected both offers and then put Brierley on a media ban. If Leigh wanted to put their fans at ease, would they have banned him from talking to the media? Nope. They would have got him to put out a statement saying he is happy at Leigh. They will definitely lose him, but it will be on a free at the end of 2016.

Or at the end of this season if they are not promoted.

Brierley's agent on live radio has basically said (and he is right) clubs won't hold players back from achieving their potential.

Leigh will not make a lad who could be the England half back in 12 months pi$$ around in the championship next season. Logic.

Well I still think part of what Frosties has said is correct. Brierley will be a Leeds player next season. I just think what happens with Leigh is irrelevant.

If a player has made up his mind that he wants to move then the clubs can't do much about it.
