Indeed but that's the reality we have to deal with at present. The reasons behind this are many but we are where we are at present so let's get behind the team and help the club rebuild

| Salford have only conceded 36 points in 4 games, Leeds have let in nearly 100. We need big improvement in both defence and attack to win. Hopefully Ward and Cuthbo will be back and Hastings misses out. Praying for a win and salvation in this scrubbers scramble.

| According to Peter Smith Cuthbertson was dropped. If so that would speak volumes about his contribution when it matters and how utterly crazy it was to give him two more years.

No, if true, yesterdays match showed how silly it was to drop him. Fair enough if you have the replacements to do it, but we don't, and we struggled as a result.

| We struggled because Cuthbertson wasn't playing? Isn't it more a case of we struggled because we're generally rubbish, just as in most games this season, with or without him?
He was dropped for the most important match of the year bar none. That speaks volumes for what Sinfield and Lowes think of his contributions since they've taken over. He's our most experienced prop by far, and the player we ought to be able to look to for on-field leadership - hard runs and leading the way in defence. The reality is he provides no leadership by example in the tough stuff. Having a beard doesn't actually make a prop IMO. And yes, I think assuming a 35-year old will somehow be good when he isn't much cop at 33 is crazy.

I think you are very much missing the point with this agenda you seem to have against the player.
I repeat what I posted whilst at the match yesterday. We had an awful lot of territory at the game, but at no point did we actually look like scoring. We badly missed his attacking threat in that regard. We do not have have the replacemetns to come in and fill that role, and as a result we struglled. Yesterday could have very easily have been a loss, and that my friend would have been a direct result of not having that attacking threat.
His replacment ysterday was Thomson. He missed 9 tackles in that game, which is 20% of what Cuthbertson has missed the entire season. His metres per carry were a yard less than what Cuthbertson has averaged the entire season. You see where I am going with this?
Now, all the things you say could well be true, and at the same time can very much be put at the door of plenty of other players also, but if you do not have a replacement who can give you what the player does, then for me it is stupid to drop. His perfomrances also are absolutely nowhere near as bad as you are making out in anycase, not when in comparison to others. But does that make his two year deal worthwhile or justified? no it doesn't but that is for a later date, not right now.

He was left out, but he is also playing injured and has been for a while, and we won so the decision has been proven correct.

| Adam Cuthbertson, has been struggling with a hamstring injury. That's what Sir kev said early last week. He was also ill during the week. No excuse for not playing well this year though

he probably should not play again this year, that was a bad one, clear intent, anybody played the game at any level know that you don't tackle like that unless your trying to hit the opponent

2 Widnes Win - Halifax (H) - Loss HKR (A), Toronto (A),
0 Halifax Win - none - Loss - Leeds (H), London (A), Widnes (A)
Or if we lose to Toronto, its Rhino's -v- London @ Headingley.
We need to beat Salford next week to make sure we don't need the Toronto game'"
For any of the brave souls who went to Widnes on Sunday - is it too fanciful to think that Widnes might have a chance of winning in Toronto? That would be a good bonus for us.

Of all our forwards only Parcel (26 including Melbourne) and Singleton (23 including Melbourne) have been selected more times than Oledski 22).
Smith has played 16 times but only been picked by Sinfield twice.

| If my maths is correct, Leeds could win the next two and lose against Toronto and still not secure an automatic SL spot, however, they could lose the next two and beat Toronto and secure a SL spot. It would come down to points difference on each occasion.
Unless Toronto lose one of the next two then it will likely make our final game against Toronto the big fixture for SL safety regardless of how we do in the next 2 matches.
