I think it will be A significant announcement, imo it will be the McDermott moving 'upstairs' rumour.....however I'm not sure we'll hear who will be the replacement for him just yet.

FWIW Funer was a disaster as the Raiders coach. Just saying...

Fwiw though we've effectively had the 2 Acadamy set ups running side by side anyway with players exchanging between the 2 but having 1 D.O.R is quite a big deal imo.

We're signing a young prop with promise from Carnegie as a 'project' who after a few years of loan spells at Hunslet and Fev it is hoped he'll eventually develop into the long term replacement for JP.

This is definitely happening, but not sure what the Carnegie link is?

Please let if be McDermott moving upstairs. I like the bloke, therefore wouldn't like to see him sacked as Leeds coach. However, even with Leeds showing improvement this year, he is still holding the squad back from its pull potential. McDermott moving as director of Rugby for both clubs and Furner and/or Dunneman as head/assistant coach would be insanely good news.

Yes, this ageing, declining squad is achieving nowhere near its full potential. This is entirely down to the coach, and in no way due to the players who are sticking robotically to his game plan rather than playing what is in front of them each week.

If that is not the news then I won't be disappointed one bit. Just because I think McDermott is still not getting 100% out of the squad doesn't necessary mean I'm calling for his head!!

His coaching record. Apart from a decent run in 2010 he was shocking at Canberra. He's seen as somewhat of a negative coach too from what I've seen.

To be honest, if we do go down the path of a coaching change (and I don't think we will) I'd go for someone with no previous connection with the club. Jim Dymock was a good shout earlier
