The 'if' is the problem, so far he hasnt shown any signs of sorting his discipline out, if last week was an isolated incident then fair enough, but it was a continuation of as bad a run of discipline as iv ever seen from a player the second half of last season, even in the games he managed to avoid getting sin binned, the ammount of six agains and penaltys he gave away was unbelievable. Saints fans were pulling there hair out with him.

The Bentley we want to see would have been an asset last night and will be going forward.

The Bentley thats taken the field in his last block of 15 or so games and we'd of likely got beat by more than we did.

He needs to sort it out, if he does, great signing, if he dosnt, then he's a liability.

I said on the night that maybe 3 of Wigans try`s looked debatable.
Confirmed on Sky that the Bibby flick and the Powell knee tries should not have stood.
That along with Powells 50/50 knock on and we might have been saying what a great coach Agar is.
For me Sezer was the most disappointing after his first game against Wire.
Tindall should keep his place and Broadbent for Briscoe who is now 3 years past his best.
Sutcliffe I think has been tried in every position bar front row and still can`t cement a place.

Agar saying he sensed what was about to happen after the team left the changing rooms for the 2nd half is a concern at only 1 score down. A large part of his role is to motivate and build confidence. I really don't know what that quote from Agar says about the players or him.

Was thinking about that, been trying to see a different interpretation than what it sounds like, because what it sounds like isnt a good look.
I would 100% put it on the players myself, they shouldnt need motivating in that situation, 2nd game of the season, big match, unlucky to be 6 points down....Id be looking for the coaches to offer some technical input, but at the bare minimum id expect the players to be absolutely raring to go through there own motivation.

If what Agar is saying is some players lacked motivation. Then I would have given them 10 minutes to see how they performed and if the player(s) hadn`t got stuck in I would have subbed them.
What we don`t want is a lack of team spirit.
Makes you wonder if the player in question was Sezer taking into account what Wilkin said and how he played.
Bit worrying after the same thing happened with Luke Gale!!

I`m really speculating now (good to see Ant and Dec back on our screens).
Maybe 2 pretty decent half backs don`t buy into Agars coaching.
