| Was this thread as predictable as the myriad of "dismantle the squad" threads we've seen?

Absolutely and whilst i'll back them to be a threat in the play -offs we looked weak on saturday and i personally don't think that can be just put down to who was missing and one of those days.

| I think its fair to say that without that superb pass to Webb we prob wouldn't have made it to the CC Final. However, not since Jonathan Davies played at the old wembley for Widnes have I seen a big player choke so obviously in a final. Its funny how the big game big name players sometimes just can't handle a CC Final.
It goes without saying though that is just one game. Buderous has been pretty consistent all year which is more than can be said for many others.

| to pick one player out of that rubbish on sat is unfair. Diskin, senior, sinfield and the rest were poor too. Still i suppose thats not part of the agenda.

| Totally agree Tad, but you cant hide from the fact that Buderus (as well as many others) was poor.
I disagree about Senior though. He was just marked out of the game, they did their homework well on him (plenty of years worth of footage to watch afetr all). Also thought that McGuire had a fair second half .... but Im clutching at straws by this point.

Are you for real with that?
Personally I couldn't care less what whether Senior was marked out of the game as an attacking threat or not. That doesn't excuse his pish poor defence for 3 of the tries though. If any one single player was to blame for that defeat (And I personally do not think individuals are to blame), then Senior would be top of the list.

| One man doesn't make a defence, or if you think he does then your defence will be 'pish poor'.

One man certainly doesn't, agreed.
But to stand watching your team mates for 2, and making an half hearted effort with the other, certainly would put pressure on any teams defence.

| Gotcha is right here, Senior was found wanting defensively with his poor positioning leading to Warrington tries on several occasions. That said, he was used a fair bit as a battering ram to take the pressure off the forwards along with Hall and Delaney, so I'd imagine fatigue played a role in his decision making. You could argue it is a combination of our pack being dominated with Senior approaching the tail end of his career.

Senior has always had a positional defensive problem and when did you last see him field a bomb? He seems to be getting worse and regulary galops off out of the line leaving a big hole often for Burrow or Hall to try and fill. Look how many tries this season have been scored due to his errors. Answer many more than he has scored or made.

| I continually find it amusing how so many miss the point I make about buderus.
I haven't blamed his pish poor peformance for our defeat. It's an observation about the OTT adulation poured upon him despite the fact that he's acheived much, much less than his far less heralded and oft unfairly judged "inferior" Matt Diskin.
We didn't need Buderus, he's added little to the squad at great expense. We excelled in his absence last year and in his one opportunity to shine for us on the big stage he stank the place out.
Of course he wasn't alone. Of course Bailey was poor, of course Senior was poor. Of course others were poor. However, unlike Buderus, those players don't get a thread dedicated from me because they HAVE delivered on the big stage for Leeds Rhinos. yet Leeds fans on here are quick to jump on Bailey's back amogst others.
That is why Buderus stinky display on Saturday was deserving of it's own thread.

Unfortunately for you, nobody really cares what the point is, as everyone is well aware you have an agenda here. An agenda without substance.

Why would we need Buderus, when we have Matt Diskin?
