I don't know if Singleton is still injured, he seemed to lose a lot of form through last year for some reason.
If he's popular in the squad I can see him being retained as a rotation prop, but for me although he is tough, he lacks the quality we need.
What we lack IMO is a Fifita type bruiser who has real presence in the middle and can also create something.
One of the intriguing aspects of this year actually is that Wakey look bang out of form now at the wrong time of year...
Catalans is an unpredictable fixture, they will be hurting and seeing Leeds as a good opportunity to get back on track.
We also struggle with the most physical sides (even if they're in the Championship...).
I'd have to tip us to win this one though because the urgency of the situation now can't be lost on anyone. I do think if we can snaggle Lui is will help, and it's Watkins' final game? There should be enough factors along with home advantage to get us the win, but we must start well this week and deny Catalans momentum and confidence.

I would start Lunt if he is fit, without a doubt. Catalans are a big side, who look to get on top early on. If they are not successfull with that, they go to pieces, and then you hit them with your own burst of momentum. Lunt would be far better defensively than Dwyer for that early containment, and then the introduction of Dwyer 25 minutes in, should see that momentum shift where Catalans start to collapse.

I know Dwyer has had his knockers but a 25-30 minutes spell against a tiring Catalan side he can do some damage.

Starting with a new 9 and 6 is a bit of a gamble, but it would be interesting to see if it improves our shape. We just need to get Newman and Hurrell into space with Walker up into the line in good ball - most sides would worry with that.

Good to hear a strong confident attitude from Lui, something along the lines of ‘if the pack takes us forward we will take care of the rest’
