If Zak doesn't get any offers from the NRL - which wouldn't surprise me at all BTW - then that in itself might be the wake-up call he needs. Regardless of whether he stays at Leeds or not, he needs to grow up.

I do wonder if that's why Leeds set the price so high. Send a message to him and any other players (and any clubs sniffing around) that nobody is going to be let go cheaply and you might not be as in demand as you might've thought.

The fee might be high but I'd rather we set it too high than too low, even if you don't get an offer of £300k you'll probably get one closer to it for setting the fee at that mark.

There's a huge difference between some Aussie player agent telling someone like Hardaker that he can get him a gig (or even a club making preliminary enquiries) and actually getting a contract.

That's not to say he won't go, but the only team I can really see having an interest is Newcastle. Injuries aside most clubs don't need a fullback as far as I can tell, and he's not as good as any of the top 10 here.

If Dan Sarginson can get an NRL contract, I'm sure Hardaker won't have a problem. It wouldn't surprise me if it was already done and dusted

Perhaps there's not as much to speculate as people think in terms of what he has done. 1 thing is for sure, people should not believe what they read. From what I know, he needs a change of scenery and, he probably needs a break truth be told. This injury might be a blessing in disguise for him.

I'd say the only issue I have as a Leeds fan is that right now we're in dire straits and it's a case of all hands on deck. If he's going to be a zombie on field then he's no loss, but I'd rather he stayed to the end of the season and then moved.

A £300k transfer fee?

Just been on Triple M Saturday NRL show that Zak was offered to Souths a month ago. They quoted that Souths did their research and thought he had too much going on off the field to take a punt on him.

Zak might see a bit more of this response. The Knights might be his only real option.

When the sun makes a brief appearance in the UK, it only has to reach 21C before serial meatheads who cannot help themselves are all out in force stripped down to the waist, getting drunk and behaving like the miscreants they are.

Plonk him back in the Fev team and wait for a SL club to make a bid. Let him become their toxic problem instead. More chance of getting a transfer fee for him too.

I totally agree.

This season is all but done (assuming we scrape through the middle 8s). I would give sutty first shout at fb for the rest of the season, it suits him better than the halves, though he is very rough. If he can't cut it then we can add a new fb to the shopping list.

And as for the other player wanting out, let him go too. The club needs a brush put through it and only players we want and who want to stay should be kept.
