| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "Good result for us, can't see us been anywhere near the million pound game now. Could well be two other super league sides.'"
Think it's a good chance that could happen. Whatever people's opinion on the 8's system, Leigh do have a great chance now.
If they don't slip up against Fev and Batley that takes them to 8 points. If they can beat Salford at home then on current form Hudds could well lose there too which surely then would be enough to get in the top 3 without the need for the MPG. Even if they don't win that Hudds game, if we've guaranteed a top 3 spot before the final week we might rest a few that are carrying injuries and get them into any post season operations early and that gives them another good chance.
The loser of the Salford vs HKR game next week will be left struggling and needing to win the remaining 4 games afterwards.
Key games left
Week 3 - Salford vs HKR
Week 4 - Leeds vs Salford, HKR vs Leigh
Week 5 - Leigh vs Hudds
Week 6 - Hudds vs Leeds
Week 7 - Leeds vs Leigh, HKR vs Hudds
Think the loser of that HKR vs Hudds game in the final week will definitely be in the MPG.

All makes for an interesting competition now. Our result yesterday will give HKR, Salford and Huddersfield an anxious time for the next few weeks. Of course, we still have to deal with Batley and Featherstone - which we found difficult during the regular season!
It was good to be able to beat a strong Salford side this time out - last season (in the CC) they were severely weakened by injuries.

| Good to see Huddersfield embarrassed by Leeds reserve grade dumping ground team (Fev) today.
They conceded 16 points to them!
And if London can score 76 at home to Batley, surely Leeds can score 150 against them?

Don't be daft. We miss Zak too much. Still....Ryan Hall might score a try to help

Yep he definitely got the ball down, not sure what the point of the video ref is if he's going to ignore the evidence right in front of him ala Silverwood in the cup.

| Quote: Alan "Just checked the scorers in the press and on tv - definitely not a try!
It was a try, it just wasn't given for some strange reason.
Sadly the refs and touch judges then missed a blatant forward pass in one of Salford's tries too so not a good day for any of the officials in that game. However I still reserve most of the blame/criticism for the video ref as opposed to the officials who have to decide instantaneously.

I think they've gone overboard on the whole ''the on field decision is try/no try, i can't see sufficient evidence to overturn it'' thing.
Some of these decisions i think what more do they do want, a forsenic sweep of the pitch with DNA evidence to the prove the on field decision wrong, would that stand up int eh court of video ref decision making?

Yep. Was just replying to AG's post about the VR decisions. Not a good day all round for the officials.

I've never been a fan of the VR, but some of the decisions this season have been embarrassing. On field refs rely on them far too much, yet the VR almost always goes with the onfield decision regardless of the evidence. Complete waste of time IMO

I hope never to be in the middle 8's again if only to avoid having to put up with uppity fans from p*ss ant little towns.'"
I also remember the days when these fans from the little towns used to descend on Wembley and watch their team smack the backsides of the big clubs , sending their uppity fans back to the drab and dreary city with their mugs red faced and their tails smack bang firmly between their legs.

"those were the days my friend, you thought they'd never end " but they did, did you listen on your steam powered radio?
