Every time I hear "remanded in custody" I think of the person ina big bowl of custard. Every single time, like Reggie Perrin and the hippo when his Mother-in Law was mentioned.

Thats really how it happens, I've seen it happen, they're thrown in this big bowl of custard and they can't get out because the sides are to slippery - its why they always appear before the magistrate dressed in badly fitting painters overalls - their own clothes are ruined by the custard.
