Did anyone cop McDermott's comments re Cross when asked what the situation was with him in this weeks Carnegie Insight interview. He couldnt even properly explain why Cross wasnt getting selected each week. He obviously thinks Hauaraki is a better option, which is worrying, and Biff and Pitts dont seem to be getting the rub of the green either. One has to say Macs team selections leave me for one baffled sometimes.
Lose to Hull KR next week, and it will be time for action, because this is becoming a bit of a joke now, having to listen to McDermott speaking in riddles to explain how we managed to get stuffed again (and again!)!!!!!

He might not be the best coach or not up to being coach of a top side like Leeds but he can't take all the blame. The way some of the players are suing it's hard to beleive you guys was champs only two years ago.

I don't see Leeds play much but from the games I've seen on sky this year, Webb, burrows, kylie, ali don't look anything like the players they was.

Ryan Bailey IMO it a total waste of cap space. Unless he's trying to cause a fight ( which he then hides) then he's not seen all the game. IMO he's championship standard.

Plenty of comfortable wins just around the corner against the rabble.

Leeds will finish 5th... that was pretty much confirmed by the result against Saints.

What's bizarre is, when the two 17s were announced tonight you had a team to match us all over the park.

The first 40 mins proved this to be the case. No problem with your game plan then, it was a right arm wrestle.

2nd half, a different Leeds team turned out.

Is this coaching, or confidence? Or are they one and the same?

He will probably see the season out unless we get beat for the next few weeks and the performances dont improve but he's got to go and ASAP.
We look clueless in attack, on the last tackle we just put a poor kick in on the few occasions we get up the right end of the field and get to the last tackle.
Yet down the other end when we are defending our line which is far too often due to silly errors and penalties due to poor discipline we look like conceding almost everytime during the second half.
I know we are low on confidence and shipping points and getting stuffed 2 weeks running doesn't help but is it a fitness problem, are we not as fit as some of the other sides or is it just because we are making errors and having to defend more than the other sides because we compete for the first 40 minutes yet during the second half we are getting blown apart? I remember a mate of mine said when Mac took over that although he's not a great coach one thing he would do was he'd have the team's fitness up to the level of any top side in the league.
This summer we need a real good clear out but the coach needs to be the first one gone and then let the new coach decide who should stay and go.
If we are going to struggle round mid table for a year or two then i'd rather see plenty of the young guys brought through into first team regulars and let them play every week. Hauraki and Cross need to be sent packing along with many more who are past there best or simply not upto it.

Half time team talks under him must be fun. Standing leaning against a wall, hands in pockets, staring at the floor. Mr motivator indeed. We needed a fire in the belly speech to get the boys gee'd up and attack from the off in the 2nd half, instead we must have had one of the greatest de-motivational half time talks since last week. One in which we decided to go AWOL for 30 mins letting saints get the crucial momentum and give us the run around and racking up the points for fun.

I was right about the cup and 5th place!

In my defence I had said give him time up until that point!

I also feel I've jumped the gun on Huaraki who has obviously worked tirelessly to make the improvements required and for me was unlucky to miss out last night!
