Quote: Old Feller "Hall & Watkins definitely will be in the squad plus possibly Briscoe & probably Ferres.'"

Yes i think Watkins, Hall will be starters still for England despite injury and form, they are still in the top 2 players in their position available and Ferres is likely to be a squad man. Don't think Briscoe will feature.

I wouldn't complain if nobody got selected though, we need a good pre season this year for sure.

Watkins will surely be picked due to lack of choices in the centres....but tbf he is picking up his form also. Wingers will be interesting as their is more competition there, again Hall has done well on his return and is proven at international level over all other options and I think he'll start and McGillivery and Manfredi for the other wing.

Quote: ThePrinter "Not a bad order those fixtures.

Looking at the others I'd be most concerned if I was a HKR fan. Got a good opener at home to Batley but then away to us and Salford. If they don't get anything from those two away games then they'll only have 2 points by the time Leigh visit them.

Also Salford vs Hudds on the opening weekend so one of the SL clubs is going to be playing catchup after the first week.'"

I can genuinely see Fev doing an upset against you, especially with 4 of your squad in their team proving a point to Mac the Miserable. A preseason friendly, it ain't and you will go into the game undercooked.

These matches are real banana skins.

If the 4 loanees cannot play against you, but they can against us and the other teams in the Middle 8s, then that's just plain unfair and disadvantageous.

Undercooked? How? We've won 5 out of 6 and the bulk of the team has been back for a number of weeks. We're playing Fev not Cronulla

In the last three weeks we've played the top two teams and the closest thing to a Championship team in SL and have beaten them all. I reckon we're fine.

Like others have said, how exactly are we undercooked?

Also it only 3 loanees, Baldwinson, Luke Briscoe and Walters and Walters didn't even get picked for Fev vs Bradford (not sure he's fit atm) so won't be a shock if he doesn't play. Agree if Baldwinson doesn't play that's not fair as he's basically been their player this year.

I'm confident but not in a cocky way. I just recognise that we have the best form of the SL teams heading into it with 5 from 6. Looking pretty much injury free. We have 4 home games. We've solved the problem position of hooker with a top quality recruit from NRL. One of our props (Garbutt) made more metres per game than any other prop in SL this year. Internationals like Watkins and Hall are finding good form. All in all we are in the best shape of the SL teams involved without a doubt.

There won't be an upset at Fev. We wouldn't want to go upsetting our partner club would we? In any event, Leeds Rhinos are a completely different proposition to a demoralised Bradford Northern.

We just want to make a few bob out of it, disappointed it's on Sky for that very reason.

Well myself and two others are going so there will be £60 for you guys there. The Leeds fans have been allocated tickets for behind the sticks and one of the stands down the side, which one would you recommend?

Homer
What is capacity at Fev?
Think Leeds will bring plenty even with sky.

Capacity is supposedly 9,800. Like you say, Leeds should take a few and with it being a Saturday afternoon should be a healthy crowd regardless of being a TV game.

Cheers biff, that is higher than I expected based on memories of last visit a few years ago.

WF Rhino,

Both are good viewing points, personally I prefer behind the sticks.

Safe journey over next weekend.

Im pretty sure you get paid for being on sky for whats called 'facility fees' (even though the home and away team are both paid)
I know this is the case in football, because Man U got more money than Leicester last year because they were on TV more
