That is the definition of a rumour

Another piece of short sightedness by the club management if true (at one time Hood was considered the better prospect than McShane). .... unless of course the rumours of signing Lunt on a permanent basis is proven correct.
As others have stated Briscoe makes no sense at all (smacks of a "blue chip" signing for the headlines and the sake of it). BJB would be my choice too of the two.

| Briscoe is the better of the two wingers for sure, but I do rate BJB. Most Hull fans have accepted that he is leaving for some time now, hence getting on his back, but he is a true quality winger. You would have the best 2 wingers in the league if he signed for you.

Maybe so....but BJB has the extra versatility and is not so bad a winger to justify this signing if true. Leeds's recruitment efforts need to be much more elsewhere.... i.e. a decent go forward prop and a SH who can effectively bring those superlative threequarters/FB into play more often.

| McDermott now seems to have more confidence in McShane. With Burrow able to fill in at dummy half, and Sinfield with some experience of having played there at a push, you wonder whether there is anywhere for Hood to fit in?
If he stayed at Leeds next year he would not be playing regular first team rugby. If McShane continues to progress, his longer term future at Leeds would be most likely as second fiddle.
If he goes, I wonder whether the club might consider keeping hold of Ben White? Got the skill set to play at hooker, also got decent size for a half back so the physicality shouldn't be a problem.

| Bjb is playing really at the moment slotted in to full back well on Friday, when he run he looks as if he is gliding on the turf. I like briscoe but it seems like a strange signing would prefer to see a prop or hooker.

Agree with that, if I was in Leeds' position I wouldn't be looking for a winger with Hall and BJB already in the squad.

The same thought crossed my mind, then it occurred to me "what if Ben wanted out?" If you look at it from that perspective it kinda makes sense.

It would be odd but it's the only other reason I can think of. Unless, as someone said earlier in this thread - we offload BJB for a heap of cash to Wire then sign Brisco for free, i.e. a pure business decision.

| Signing briscoe on a free and selling BJB might be a sacrifice for funds for a new hooker. Would you take losing BJB and signing briscoe and Lunt or Clarke? I personally would if that was the scenario. But if it is just 1 in and 1 out I would rather keep BJB
