Strange as it seems there wasnt a 40 point gap between the teams today. Wire score 6 of there 11 tries from chargedowns, an interception and 2 loose balls that were on the floor where all they had to do was pick the ball up and run. It's a funny old game sometimes



That said, Wire didnt blow any oportunity and looked good when they threw the ball about.

If anything that just highlights how dire Bradford were....By the time the ball is thrown back out of dummy half the Warrington defence has to run 12-15 metres before the dozzy Bulls half backs can get a kick away. Let it happen once maybe twice... but then common-sense urges a little but of urgency to get the kick well away....

Oh yeah, im not saying that Bradford wernt slack, just look on their board and youll see what the fans think of the performance, what I was saying though was that there wasnt a 40 point gap in the teams playing wise. It was 10-0 to Warrington before Wire actually got out of their own 20 without picking the ball up to score. Possesion and territory wise it was all Bradford the 1st 10 minutes. A mixture of good defence and poor choices by Herbert though meant that the Bulls never looked like getting back into it.

As for the 4 chargedowns, the Bulls were playing into a massive breeze 1st half so Herbert did kick at a lower trajectory. Warrington made an effort to get to every kick though and it wasnt through the Bulls being slow that these came about. It was just something that was targeted and paid off for Warrington.

Another thing that made me laugh was Warringtons 1st 2 penalties they received... both for booting the ball out on the full from kick off

Thierriy has had the last 3 games at Odsal. He was pretty good yesterday. Some fans were complaining about forward passes as we were leaving the ground but neither me or Mick noticed them at the time.
