Clarke is essentially saying mcguire deserved his injury for unsporting play.
Does that mean Nick Cassidy deserved to be cremated alive for his disgraceful elbow on morley in 1998?
I'd assume if questioned directly, clarke would be offended by the suggestion that the rugby gods punished him for any unsporting play in his career, by ending his career through injury. So why suggest something similiar about mcguire?
It was unprofessional to do so.

His parochalism and fanaticism for his favourite team obviously went to his head disabling any sense of reason.
No player deserves the sort of injury Danny has suffered.

I assume it was taken in his rented apartment while at the Roosters so may not entirely be to his taste, although I'm only speculating. He may have had it flown over specially for all I know.
I imagine tartan sofa's are pretty posh in Wigan.
