Hello Rhinos Fans.Both teams have made a bad start.The new catalan players,contrary to some expectations ,but not mine ,are nowhere near as good as those who have left.We were lucky to escape with a 28 point defeat against Hull.I am coming over and hope to see some of you at the usual place for post match high jinks.

If one of you have a minute or two to write a paragraph previewing the game from your side, I will put it on our website.

From what I've seen Catalan are really missing Zeb Taia. As good as Stewart is he doesn't excel at breaking the line. Similarly their pack is down on hard work while Casty is injured, with all respect Dave Taylor doesn't give you that.

I also can't help but think they might have got a couple of tries had Escare played, Horo got is arm free a couple of times and that's where Escare is normally sniffing around. I understand his defence is not the best, but could he not be used on the wing, a bit like Kieran Dixon he is an exciting player who needs a bit of protection.

Not sure Falloon will be up to the task yet as I doubt he's been able to do much running on a broken toe and this is probably not the baptism of fire into which to throw a semi-fit player.

How did Catalans fare at the disciplinary? I think they had the usual half dozen or so up before the beak.

O.K. I am about to set off so I do not know the team.We are missing Taia ,Whitehead and Henderson very badly.We are also worse off in my view on the right wing.Escare's defence last year was utterly hopeless and he cost us a place in the top 4,so Gigot in that position is an improvement.David Taylor is 4 or maybe 5 stones overweight and our new signing Willy Mason is not far behind him.Perhaps the team will eventually gell,but the supporters have grounds for their concerns.

Broughton in on the right wing ,which should improve things from our point of view.Willie Mason also in the 19 which may not.

If Achurch doesn't get in this weekend then I think he will be released within the next few weeks.

Doubt they'll release him whilst we are low on numbers.

the fact he hasn't made a 17 yet with our injuries makes you wonder if something has gone on behind the scenes though.He must be on a wedge and maybe he has decided to just take the money in his last year rather than move on which is probably what the club would have wanted.Not that Achurch isn't fully entitled to do so, if that is the reason.

Achurch has been a poor signing overall, injury prone and never been able to force his way into side when fit, and when he has got an extended run never done much, odd good moment against weaker sides.

Don't see the point in playing him over younger prospects who deserve a chance instead, Achurvh off contract at end of year and just does not offer enough for another one.
