Wonder how long before we announce Mcshane and Bjb's departures?'"
Maybe it has?
For example:
Leeds pay us for Paul Aiton (Gives us a cash boost, you get your player)
however, in return,
Wakefield request Leeds release Richie Moore, in order for us to sign him without paying his last year up?
Or something along those lines... Maybe?

But what if he decides to go to Cas instead?
I think I am in the minority but I felt he did a relatively good job for us as a back up squad member.
I don`t think he was given the minutes he should have got and like others have said gave us an offloading game that we rarely used.
Yes there were times when he over did it and they will be the ones we remember.
I thought maybe him and McShane would have been used as part of the Aiton deal FWIW.

| I wish the lad luck. Not given any meaningul opportunities, even when in the 17. Unlike some ahead of him at least he brought effort to the table, whatever hi deficiencies.
Still, his role (depth) should really be an up and coming player rather than a 31 year old.

That would seem a bit complicated, as opposed to us just waiving the paying up of the last year of his contract?

Quite right. And he should not be the last piece of dead wood we should be looking to offload.

I think Wakey are asking just that regarding Moore, they can't afford to pay additional for players right now, its either signing players out of contract or loan deals. McShane could maybe be in their as a loan option. At first I thought Moore was poor for Leeds but when he was playing for a regular spot he put in some strong effortd and was always solid in defense , including a sterling tackle at Salford following a clean break .... showed some pace there for a big man

| I remember stating at the time why the hell sign Moore and Griffin and yet let Amor ( and Ambler ) go. Two old has beens - or never was's - in favour of two young potential good long termers who already were at LEAST as good as those signings
Still it has to be agreed the old guy was never given the same equal chances of other more, ahem, favoured squad members despite being at least the equal of said shirt stealers.
Indeed of Kirke, Bailey and Moore I do believe he should have been the last to be moved on.
Next season is going to be so damn boring seeing the same old faces in the forwards.....unless miracle of miracles our esteemed coach promotes Singleton above everyone but Peacock and Delaney as first choice prop.

| Darrell Griffin a has-been?
Was Griffin not part of the England squad in the season before he signed for Leeds?
And if you still think Ambler would have made a SL player had he stayed at Leeds then you have rocks in your head.

"The season [ibefore[/i" just might suggest he was already a 'has been' ....maybe. Either way Amor was at least as good to fufill the role that McDermott had - by all accounts - in mind for the the new signing. He was/is also much younger with the potential already seen by many on here to get better.
As for Ambler staying at Leeds neither of us will never know whether he could have reached the giddy heights of being as good a SL player as Kirke.... etc.

I have seen Ambler on several occassions and at no time would I have rated him in the same class as even the no good, shiftless, Bailey and that is saying something!
Obviously those that matter that saw Ambler on a regular basis beleived that they could not make a silk purse out of that particular pig's ear.
However, to have let Amor leave and kept Bailey, that was just daft.

I would like to wish the best to Richard Moore and thank him for his efforts. Don't think he has been given a fair crack from the coach, but think he has stepped up admirably when called. He always showed a lot of enthusiasm, which was often missing from a lot of the players, especially this past season.
Hope he gets another super league club, as think he deserves that.'"
Could not agree more (sic) - hopefully he will find a club who can make better use of his talents than we did

He was signed as a squad player and used as one. Do you think he should have been higher up the pecking order?

I think players should be picked on merit - even with your rose-tinted glasses on you surely cannot suggest that Moore was treated fairly. The likes of Bailey and Kirke were no better than Moore on numerous occasions yet got selected repeatedly. If all the players are fit Bailey - on his recent form - is not a starter and would possibly not even get in the 17 so would you consider him to be a squad player?

Moore was used in the 'lesser games' and didnt feature at the end of both his seasons.
I would advocate Leeds to do more squad rotation.
He's a gutsy player and I think how he was used wont be of surprise to him. He offered enthusiasm and appetite for work, which I agree was nice to see, but there are question marks over his quality so I can see why he was used in that manner.
you cant argue with form....Moore wasnt pulling down trees. As for bailey had a none year 2013. Stop start between injuries..suspensions etc. If a team is picked on form you wont hear me grumbling. lets hope his testimonial 2014 will bring the best out of him.
