I wouldn't say Hull got Ellis from under are noses as Hull made just as much public bid for him in the weeks leading up to the decision. Getting him from under someone's nose would suggest you snuck in there at the last second.

With the Ellis signing, I fully expect Hull to establish themselves as the 2nd biggest club in Humberside, so it will have been money well spent

Like Craig Murdoch has just said on radio Humberside " I smell a rat in this case " the deal offered to Luke Briscoe was offered by Uncle Kath, it was all a set up between the Hetherington brothers. But life goes on. Adam Pearson has said the one thing it has done is make sure the club gets its house in order and this will never happen again.
