I guess he also he has been kept quite busy with his work and doesn't have the same spare time as you to dwell on such things. How many threads have you posted on this same selection topic now?'"
Are you stalking me now ?
If an employee with a different skills set to mine in a different role, but yet was still favoured and sent on a lucrative rewarding job I was contracted to do with the appropriate labelled title, no I wouldn't have the patience. to hang around.

Even if that skill set, while slightly different, was still offering away to fulfill the role using a different methodology, you were still being paid so the "lucrative" part was irrelevant and you were aware that the role would need filling on an ongoing basis for several years, during which time you were satisfied that you would be considered for it, and the time so far had been, in fact, a very tiny percentage of the length of your tenure?
Up to you I suppose.

Or maybe there's a conspiracy.....
Maybe that or maybe some other reason. Whatever the reason it simply isn't good enough.
For years now we've had to put up with the likes of Tony Smith, Brian McLennan and now McDermott making atrocious decisions, selecting the wrong players in the wrong positions, demoralising the players and generally presiding over the destruction of the club.
It's not as if any of them have found a winning formula is it.

| I wouldn't worry too much about this. Nantwich is only worried because in his eyes McShane will be past his prime by the end of the year and we should get the best out of him him before he has to make way for someone a bit younger.

Certainly not

Interesting analogy Nantwich. But perhaps a more realistic one would be the following:
You (as you have introduced yourself into the senario) as a largely unproven junior employee with limited senior experience as yet, who has been employed by the market leading company as an assistant distribution manager. The previous excellent senior distribution manager has moved abroad for personal reasons leaving a vacancy.
The company has decided not to advertise the post externally but give the opportunity to yourself and a promising junior to compete and prove you can step up to the plate and become the senior distribution manager on merit. To encourage you further the company has printed you a new business card with the title of distribution manager but on the understanding that this does not guarantee that the job is yours full time just yet.
However there is a big important and previously arranged negotiation to undertake and the company has decided to ask one of its most experienced and senior excecutives from another department, but with good experience of distribution management, to head up this forthcoming deal.
If your reaction to this situation is to head for the door then I would suggest you are not the sort of character that this company is looking for. If your reaction is to buckle down and prove to the boss that he has to give you the job on merit then you are demonstrating that you have the character to become successfull in your future career.

Maybe he'd prefer him to be moved to second-row when JJB goes to stand-off.

| Hopefully he'll get a chance at Leeds eventually if not then the club have treated the player terribly, He was in very good form last year after a consistent run of games the Castleford game was a particular stand out performance IMO.

As for McShane losing the hooking spot, it was never is to lose as he's yet to earn it.
Hope I proved wrong about McShane and he turns out to be Star performer for Leeds.'"
So why give him the number 9 shirt?

It's a squad number these days, not a positional number.

He gave BJB the number 2 shirt but preferred Smith.
I think if the players deserve to be in the team on merit then that`s not a bad thing.
To pick Kirke ahead of possibly Clarkson and Moore does make that seem someone is telling porkies.

Sorry but Smith doesn't deserve number 2 shirt and I always thought single numbers were first team choice??
Buderus wouldn't be happy being on the bench
