| Can`t see you going much further than us to be fair,we`ll both win a game if we are lucky.
i`d just like to know what has happened to your side ( no bitching please ) any decent side would have put us away yesterday, what with being a man short and all.
With the players you have , you just looked out of sorts and clueless

We will lose to Wigan, beat "whoever", then win whatever game comes up. Leeds vs. Saints again is my prediction. Mystic Chris has spoken. Bollox on the line etc. (although it may be the rugby club cider talking).'"
well pal if we do make the grand final that'll be the way we'll do it, by losing the first game, because if we win we'll likely have to beat wigan twice in 3 weeks and i can't see that happening.

Wembley ! Confidence sapper. Big ask. Did well at KC stadium. Can we continue it on into play offs..? The only way is up.
Still possible but doubts more than lingering. If McGuire or Eastwood get knobbled we've def had it. No chance. Otherwise hope we'll get the chance to play our quick PTB game and at least go down fighting..... AND start afresh next season without the distraction of the malefic World Club Challenge.

| As we've 2 bites of the cherry, I'm pretty relaxed about the results at Wigan later this week...I think Wigan will win this one fairly easily, and will be suckered into choosing us a couple of weeks later.
Different game and all to play for, with hopefully no injury issues.... I think we'll win that one but the effort will f**k us for the final, and I fancy Warrington to claim an impressive double for 2010

| I'd like to see us go all out for a win this week. Week off, qualifier at Headingley and I will take anyone.
If not, we do it the hard way. Mind, we've done it before.

I agree with alot of that but i dont believe Huddersfield have much of a chance as they lack big game players.
I believe Wigan have peaked this season and I think Saints lack that extra edge this season although the hological edge they have over Wire could be key for them. Wire have impressed me no end this year and now they have won a few games over the big teams and 2 challenge cups shows they are no bottlers on the big stage. Leeds are triple champions and on there day can beat any side home or away but dodgy defence and the fact we have no JP means we will struggle to get to OT.
Warrington Saints final for me. Warrington to overcome the mental barrier and get the double.
If Leeds win from 4th it will be more of an achievement than the other 4 GF wins in my opinion but I just cant see it happening, unfortunately.

Aye, a bit more difficult with an away final eliminator though. I think you will come out all guns firing on sunday with nothing to lose, as the pressure is mostly on us (wigan)
If Bailey gets a ban your really struggling though, without Peacock your props look average at best given that ours could all be fit on sunday for the first time since Easter

Could be the coming of age of Ambler. Wouldn't that be a fairy tale if he wins us the match ?

The cc has f*cked us up, just like it did in 05, just like it did in 06, it almost did in 2008 and it's done us again this year.

| How many forwards will have to be unavailable before Ambler gets a game?

Me too. It's the only way in the playoffs. Go 100%. I hope we have enough fit bodies next week, and I hope we play well enough to either beat Wigan or really put the wind up them. If we batter them then we may not have to worry one way or another. There is the assumption that Wigan would pick us if we were still in it, but there are other possibilities. the loser of the Saints/Warrington game could come unstuck against whoever they play from the winners of the knockout games. Both those teams look vulnerable at the moment.

Agreed Wigan of late haven't been great saying that they have to be favorites but I'm sure they would have preferred Hull.

Neither team that entered last year's play-offs in third and fourth survived week 2 after almost appearing to accept defeat in week 1. Leeds I trust will have learnt from their (Huddersfield and Hull KR that is) experience last season and play to win and earn a week off and a home tie in the ESF or whatever it's termed as under this system.
It's all on the day and it's wide open for me, any two from the top five.

| I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't think we're in with a cat in hell's chance this year. Even if we were on form we'd struggle without Peacock and a fit Ali. As it is our 'form' consisted of two wins against very very poor teams in the run up to Wembley.
I hate to say it but I think a genuine indicator of our form - or lack of it - this year are the loss at Wembley and the loss at home to Wigan before the semi. I'd love it if we came back and won the comp in the most difficult way, but as I said, I just don't think we have the form or the troops to do it.
I do agree that we have to go all out against wigan though. If we are to have any chance we have to start trying to play as hard as possible right now.

I don't have the figures to hand, but I suspect if you looked at results and match reports for teams playing the week after losing in the CC final they would not be great reading. Even after winning I suspect there are not many great results the week later. Last year I think Warrington and Huddersfield both lost the two games following the cup final and can you remember the score of the game Hull played the week after losing in 2008?
