You are spot on there. He left so many gaping holes, and then no mobility to fill in. But then again, that right side has been appalling all season long, no matter who plays there. Some truely horrendous individual performances out there tonight. Except I will give credit to just the one player, and sick of hearing the preconceived moaning about him no matter what he does, and that is Galloway who far exceeded his team mates tonight, |

Whilst it meant nothing in the grand scheme of the game, just watching the obstruction on JJB try, what a joke that that was given and Silverwood saying to McGuire it was JJB to blame and not the Cas attacker.

Judging by the fact that training has changed diddly squat since last season, we might see an improvement if they did not train altogether and had the whole week off. |

I'm just not sure what they actually do at training. Can't be the simple practice of attacking and defensive drills, as they look like they've never done either before.
Maybe they're practicing standing behind the posts looking dejected after letting in a try? Or talking about how well they've prepared and how important the next game is, to be followed by the inevitable 'that was disappointing, we'll have to work on it during the week' press conferences?
They're getting very good at those things.

Silverwood was typically dire last night. Someone must have told him in the week about markers having to stand square, as he went OTT on ghat - lets hope someone tells him this week about getting them back 10 at the PTB... |

I know things are looking bleak but you can't honestly think you won't finish in the top 3 of the middles 8's (if indeed you are in there) and if the worst comes to the worst lose the £1M game? |

"Tackle round the legs" - it's traditional in Rugby League to achieve this by having a smaller forward - it's called a hooker for those that don't remember them - defending the middle along with your 6'4'' props. Might be worth a shot. |

Sorry, missed this one first time around until someone pointed it out to me.
Taking the modern era as SL and to keep it simple for me taking the average per game from those complete Regular Round seasons we have the following17.29 (After 14 Rounds)
Previous Lowest 24.71 (Season 2000, Coach Dean Lance)
Previous Highest 41.14 (Season 2005, Coach Tony Smith)
Tries Average Per Game -
This Season 3.00 (After 14 Rounds)
Previous Lowest 4.09 (Season 1997, Coach Dean Bell)
Previous Highest 7.46 (Season 2005, Coach Tony Smith)
Goals Average Per Game -
This Season 2.64 (After 14 Rounds)
Previous Lowest 3.56 (Season 2014, Coach Brian McDermott)
Previous Highest 5.64 (Season 2005, Coach Tony Smith)
A more appropriate time to make the comparison will be after Round 23 if Leeds finish between 9th and 12th or after Round 30 if Leeds sneak into the Super 8's. Given there are possibly only 9 rounds remaining (depending on your interpretation of the middle 8 status) Leeds would have to more or less double the number of tries and goals they have scored per game so far this season to prevent it from being their worst performance in terms of points, tries and goals in the 21 seasons of the SL Era. |
