I can't help but wonder if Mac doesn't trust them he'd be better starting with the young lad with say Cuthbo on the bench. Early game errors are often less vital and he could always turn to one of his more favoured players off the bench.

In terms of injuries, it's only a major issue if both Moon and Handley are out, we can cover one or the other but not both. I'd like to see it be a next man up from the academy (young lad in headgear that played on the wing boxing day, or possibly that Cam Smith at centre?)

When Hudds lost Grix they mentioned on their board about maybe going for Escare but surely Catalans won't help out us or Hudds when we're going to be battling it out together to try and make the top 4. But then again I suppose Hudds were daft enough to loan us Lunt in 2012.

Ferres is a much better option in the centre's than Walters. Swap him there and start with JJB and the team doesn't look too terrible in the circumstances.

Watkins on the wing, Keinhorst and Ferres in the centres. Wingers-wise in the 19s, Ryan Jones isn't physically ready for SL yet and neither Tommy Brierley nor Billy McDermott are even close to being good enough or ever will be. So go with what you've got in the first team squad and juggle it around positionally.

Could even contemplate playing Achurch as a centre. Pop him on the left, might stop the ball getting to the ground via Ryan Hall's hands.

We have to play Jimmy K at centre. The idea of Walters or Achurch with Hall is giving me hives.

However we go in the centres I'd like to see the set-up of the 3 halves in the defensive line altered.

Seems daft to have Burrow and Lilley on the same side with Lilley often 3rd man in from the side. Surely move Lilley to the right next to the RW and have Sutcliffe as a bigger and quicker lad defending 3rd in.
