I'm only surprised it's taken so long for you to post this.
I guess the key for any young posters out there is if you have an opinion which is ridiculed by the masses stick to it and eventually you be able post a thread like this!
Agreed though he had a mare, although I was still desperate for Bluey to get him back on in the second half. Diskin was slightly better but not great showing it's tough to play hooker behind a beaten pack

| Quote G1="G1"Having single handedly taken it upon himself to get us to a CC final with his one man show in the semi (or so some on here would have us believe) he obviously felt he earned his ££££s already.
Two very poor knock ons and outplayed by Diskin going forward.
Just one more losing appearance in a CC Final and four GF wins to go and he will have emulated Diskin.'"
Diskin only has a NRL premiership, 21 SOO appearances including captaining the side to series victory in 2004 and 2005, 25 appearances for Australia and a Dally M!!
I know which player can say he has played with - great distinction - at the very peak of the game in its toughest competition and for the game's finest international side.
Matt Diskin has a hell of long way to go before his career will ever get close to that of Danny Buderus.

When did he find the time?
Looks like it's Diskin by plenty in that case when you add his numerous SL Winner's rings and GB International appearance to the list.

| Neither of them were as bad as Higham was for Wire. But he did have 16 teammates playing superbly.

| For a long time I have stated McClennan's insistence on spelling the superior Buderus with the inferior Diskin would "bite the club on its ass" ....at some critical part of the season.
For a while I did buy into the suggestion that it was a canny tactic to prolong the value of an ageing Buderus to the club who might not otherwise be able to manage the full 80 these days on a regular basis. However, for the 'big one' common sense would prevail and he would indeed play the full 80.
Buderus started off with a 'mare' but was never given the chance to come back on and change the game until it was too damn late.
Of course I am not claiming Leeds would have definitely won and hindsight is a marvelous thing....but Diskin was not playing well enough to keep him out there.
Guess we will never know......BUT no Ali combined with the second criminal decision to keep Buderus from playing a full 80 were surely two large factors in the defeat.

| This thread was almost as predictable as the massive over reaction to a decent Buderus performance in the semi final.
Sadly, it's true. He was awful. He wasn't alone I accept but as he was (wrongly) credited by many on here for single handedly winning us the semi it's a fair thread. He gets way too much credit for what he has done at Leeds and Diskin gets far too little.
Believe me, I desperately wish I had not been given the ammunition to starts threads about Buderus and Kirke but direct your ire at Buderus and kirke for the fact that I have been able to, not at me.

| I was slightly disappointed with you yesterday when this failed to materialise. I always thought it was ineviatable.
It's only fair as a direct response to the hero worship, otherwise there'd be about 10 of these player threads kicking around.
The stick Diskin has got is unfair but despite being the slightly better player on Saturday his performances this year have been completely overshadowed by Buderus'
In terms of legacy Diskin should be regarded as a Leeds legend in the future, Buderus not so.

He was poor, no doubt. A real shame, because if he turned up, we'd have been in with a better shot. Same goes for about 14 others sadly.'"
Well said that man.
The opening poster should be ashamed of himself for such pish poor barrell scraping.
Buderus certainly was not effective on Saturday, but his replacement was equally ineffective and poor, along with many other players.
I notice he only starts threads for two scape goats though, depsite a poor team performance.

You'll need to extract your face from Buderus' ass cleft first.
