Got back from watching match and think that as others have said Sinfield really lacks pace and if Brough had been at 7 he'd have scored the opportunity that Sinfield had. Against Australia and New Zealand we may not have many chances hopefully it's not Sinfield that gets them 40 yards out against them....

FFS pace isn't everything... Sinfield's all round skill set is fine, added to that his leadership qualities, and you've got a good enough half back.

Ferdy, funnily enough [imaybe to some[/i, I agree......but I'm sure WE could disagree without resorting to insults. I was simply making the point Sinfield is lacking in this particular area and it can be ruthlessly exposed at international level against the better teams (NZ and Oz).
At the same time I am not suggesting who actually might be better in Sinfield's position. There I am chickening out.

IMO Sinfield is better in the forwards: hooker/dummy half.

Too old & too slow.I agree he has got a great tactical knowledge and knows when to push opponents into a corner but so does Shaun McRae and I wouldn't play him at 7 or 9 joking aside I think the experience and knowledge sinfield has could be better used in a coaching capacity .
If the strongest reason for having him on the field is his goal kicking ability were in the sh@t sorry average will not cut it at international level
