Surely all posts share the same right to be posted just as much as anyone else's, whether they've attended a game, watched it on TV from the armchair, listened to the game on the radio, or played tag for the Lost Loiners beyond the age of 10. It's a shame that some feel the need to share with us their holier-than-thou attitude to their own posts. If they wish to maintain their own sense of feigned superiority, perhaps it might be an idea for them not to be quite so dismissive of others contributions on the basis of an attendance? The same one's who pontificate about NRL standards despite never having attended a single NRL game in their life

As someone who actually listened to the whole game on the radio, I offer the following:

I didn't hear his name in the 2nd half once either.

As someone who neither attended the game or listened on the radio I make the causal observation that the return of TMFMISL and the absence of Kirke appears to have coincided with our best defensive display.

BM stated in after match press conference that he only just about got through the game and that his groin injury flared up again.

He also stated that Kylie played the whole game with a tight hamstring and that Burgess will go in for a knee clear out operartion on Monday (providing we have 17 fit players for Friday,if not they'll delay the op which he was booked in for last week until Ali went lame again)

I assume Ali & Burgess will be missing for a few weeks and if Bailey's groin is an issue again then perhaps Amor will get recalled.

By the way, can anyone who attended the game pass comment on how Amor went today as it wasn't evident from the radio commentary

I don't think Amor is the answer to our present difficulties.
He didn't stand out in defense nor did he break tackles & make big metres for them.
If we lose Bailey & Kylie for a prolonged period that may alter the position.

How has he kept a first team place in the Leeds team for the last umpteen years? Someone must be bribing the coach.

To say it was his 1st game since September I thought he went well. Certainly was strong in defence and sured us up, something we have missed recently.

Surely Leeds can find someone to do this job and more.

He took some decent hit ups today. Last season towards the back end he was making good metres too. Hes only 27 remember. Some props dont hit their peak until they're in the late 20's/early 30s. And is you indirectly said, the last 4 coaches have picked him week in week out since the early 2000's so he cant be that bad.

As someone who watched the whole game I can offer this:

A strong comeback performance. In the early openings he really rattled Wakie with some big hits. Tackled his heart out. But tackled with a purpose. He also but a couple of big smashes in as third man in which was great to see. He carried the ball up well, apart from one loose carry. When Leeds were penned back with drop out after drop out, he was talking to his team telling them to 'up it' and was very structured in this role, knowing where to be in the line - filling gaps etc. He wasn't the only reason why we kept Wakie to 4 in the first half (we defended well gernerally, but need to cut the penalties out) but he was one of the main reasons. Sinfield had lots of time at scrums to be patting him on the head, because he's doing the dirty work. It's simple really, a bit like Bailey, but we're a stronger team with him in.

He didn't come out in the 2nd half, he played for the first 25 minutes, then Burgess was sin binned straight away from the bin, so he was brought back on, so played around 35 minutes of the first half. Leeds pulled away in the second half so he was then quickly taken off and made no further contribution. HTH

From what you describe he seems to have had a solid performance. Look forward to seeing him replicate it at HQ on Friday, injury permitting.

It is concerning that he may have aggrevated the injury again.

I'd love to read an "Anti-Bailey" poster's match report on him and compare the two.

FYI, I'm with BB. Thought he did well, first game in a long time and still not 100%. I think what most people forget is he's primarily a "bench prop" and not supposed to be the game changing & dynamic superstar most people try to claim he should be. With the current "prop crisis" (and more specifically the injury to JP) his performances are likely to be much more under the microscope. He's currently been asked/expected to fill in for JP, and clearly he's not capable of just stepping in so that nobody notices JP is missing (who is capable of that?!?!) but Bailey has a role in the squad. A role which he fills incredibly well. There's no doubt we're a stronger team with him in it.

Completely agree with RR and BB he did a good job and hopefully he can shake off this groin problem and continue to have an impact.

Agree with all 3 post about bailey, We are a better team with him than without. He does a lot of the hard graft which goes un noticed. my only concern for him is this groin injury appears to be still there

As someone who shall be attending and watching the whole game next week without so much as a blink, nor a momentary distraction or even a casual glance at the flashy new big screen, I'm looking forward to witnessing first hand (among other stuff) all those little things which Bailey does so well in order to shore up and stiffen the defence. It's those little qualities which often go unreported on a full match commentary on the radio.

Big screen is old hat now fella. We've all seen it already.

Can't wait for Friday night. I've not been this excited since Ian Kirke proudly earned and collected his 3rd Super League Ring. Might also listen to the commentary on the radio whilst in attendance in order to develop an unrivalled perspective of the game on the night.
