Didn't realise I compared them. I said Jimmy could play in this mould - as in a centre who can draw in defenders and get the ball to his winger. Is that laughable?

I think we all put too much pressure on Jimmy K because we probably have the two best centres in the league at the minute (in quality if not form)
Jimmy is not as good as Moon or Watkins or Godden or Senior, but imo he is better than Toopi was and is a better centre than Lee Smith or Hardaker, so Im comfortable with him at starting centre
I think a lot will depend on Myler, if he shows he can organise and create then he will play with Moon (or Sutcliffe), if not he will play with Lilly

Yeah agree, he is no where near Godden's class. Keinhorst is good defensively but we definitely lose a fair bit of xfactor out wide when Moon is at SO.
Personally I'd keep Moon at SO. I'm not sure who's available in the NRL centre wise... but I'd be looking there for someone.

| Toopi was excellent defensively, but appalling in attack. Wild offloads to... well the ground... on our own 20 and dropping the ball over the try line, blowing 4pts.

| Keinhorst can definitely do a job at centre, bit like Ablett has in the past.

| Moon isnt the answer in the halves, especially with Myler who is also primarily a runner. We have Sutcliffe and Lilley and Moon to fill in, Golding might eventually find his position there and Ward can fill in in an absolute pinch.
If Burrow is retired our priorities should be another hooker who can play loose as Roby is doing for Saints because Parcell is indispensable to us at the moment and we are really struggling without him and a game-breaking second rower imo (we should have cloned Ali when we had him)

| Can't say I agree. Why have Moon as a threat at left centre only when he can be a threat all over the field? We've had injuries at centre and still Moon hasn't gone there. McDermott sees Moon as a halve for this season and probably going forwards.

| The problem with Moon is who he's paired with. He may well be individually 'dangerous' all over the field but that's as a runner. Just as in the centre, the idea of setting someone else up is not Moon's first thought which is why he never made it as a stand off in the NRL.
If Myler can act as playmaker then it could work with Moon. I wouldn't be surprised if the plan is to give Moon and Myler a chance first, but we do have a lot of options to try.

Can understand that view but on the other hand I don't want to see him end his career playing Championship rugby strolling past teams most weeks.

Sadly i'd fancy my chances against Danny in a foot race these days and he is my junior, so i doubt he would be strolling past many defences but i get your point
I personally hope he has a couple of good years with Rovers in SL and also bows out on his terms, he owes us nothing and i wish him nothing but a good end to a stellar career.

Exactly my thoughts, you see him looking at gaps in the defence line but he has lost that speed to burst through. To be honest I think he will struggle in super league if HKR are promoted. He could do a good job at championship level though.
Incidentally I notice Lunt virtually carrying HKR over the finish line against Leigh. Another player we should have retained.
