| 2007. I guess some of us must have been thinking 2004 was the "one off" and Leeds were going to slip back into their usual pattern. The way we took Saints apart was awesome, but was really set up by the bruising we gave them (while losing) in the earlier final eliminator.
Memories of 2008 were good, I was on a flight to Japan on the Saturday so didn't see the score until I arrived at Narita Airport and turned my phone on. I gave the people in the immigration queue a bit of a fright.
Also, I remember a certain Mr AP giving the Stains fans a serious butt wiping - tremendous stuff from the once great man.

Strangely, that may well be my favourite ever Leeds match. Certainly up there. Probably the highest quality match I've seen us play in. The tension in the ground was incredible and some of the tackling was wince-inducing even from behind the posts.

| The last one is always the best one for me. The more that other teams and supporters hate Leeds it just makes victory that much sweeter. The number of people admitted to mental institutions in Rugby League areas will go through the roof if Leeds are crowned champions again next year.

I am inclined to agree.I just took a peep on you know who's board, first time for ages. One poster said if we had won SL/GF under Noble we would not have deserved it,just like Leeds in 2012.He is right, but his team at that period had more chance of getting struck by lightening, not in the same league as this desrving Leeds team.Yes 2012 for me too.I would LUV it if we did it again in 13

| 04 was so special for obvious reasons but the best display imo was 07 we were sublime that day and "whoop whoop Wilkin" didn't know what had hit him or his team!!

| 2007 was good - the second half we were so dominant it was untrue - but my favourite was 2011 because it was the only one I really didn't think we'd win.

That's another reason why I think 2007 was the best simply because IMO it was the toughest opposition we've faced. After the last 5 years it might be easy to forget how successful Saints were back then,
They had won all 6 of the last trophies on offer leading up to the GF (CC, LLS, GF 2006...WCC, CC, LLS 2007).
They had won the rare sight of a RL team winning Sports Personality Team of the Year in '06.
They had won ALL 4 of their previous GF's.
They had won 5 of 6 CC Finals since '96.
They had 4 former/current/future Man Of Steel winners in their side.
THEY WERE THE TEAM TO BEAT!
Despite Leeds' success in 2004, with defeats in both of 2005 Finals and poor exits in 2006 in both Cup (Semis vs Hudds) and Playoffs (Wire at home) we still had that underachievers tag.
And it's the manner and scoreline of the defeat that I believe is so crucial, a close contest might of seen future years pan out differently. I don't think Saints have ever truely been the same since that night in '07. As well as sending Leeds to another level, one which even the '04 success didn't manage immediately afterwards.

| As an experience of the whole weekend, I'd go for 2004, but that includes a great night out on the Friday, the homecoming and a great concert on the Sunday, and then the fantastic party in the FAE on Monday night.
As a one off, I'd got for 2007. Like others have said, it was set up by that titanic match at Knowsley Road in the play-offs. I always give homer simpson credit in that match too. As the teams left the field at half time, he was saying 'look at Saints! They're done!'. Sure enough, he was spot on. The second half was just sublime. We were looking down on the wing where Donald did Wellens like a kipper. It was amazing.

| Ive enjoyed every single one of them (duh) and especially 2007 for the performance and 2011 for the thrill of burrow and proving the doubters wrong from fifth but none will ever match the release of pent up frustration let out following our first GF win in 2004. I've been standing on the terraces of the SS since the early seventies and seen some great teams but having endured the fruitless spending of the 80s and 90s to see a team of Leeds lads win the ultimate prize was very special. I'm sure I wasnt the only one to shed a tear at OT that night

| 2007 for me personally since that was the first time I was at a final that we won.
After nearly 20 years of following Leeds.
I missed the 99 cup final & 2004 due to being away when the games were on.
2004 for the club since it broke our GF duck.

| 2007 was definately Leeds best performance in any final since 1961,but the more I think about it everyone since 2004 was special in their own way. What about 2008?that one was the final that probably broke Saints spirit in the following GFs.After that game I never said I think we could lose this GF again.Even last year against Wire I never thought we would lose

| ...and laugh too. Long's look of horror when he wasn't awarded a 40/20 after kicking for touch from a 20m restart was good. But could never touch a certain player's antics in the dying moment of 2012

| Has to be a toss up between 2004 and 2009 as we were League winners as well. But I think I will go for 2009 as I think it was the best side Leeds had in the recent years. Mind you its close beating Northern in the final in particular after 2003 CG Final.

| 2007. The result was so emphatic because of the physical hammering Leeds gave Saints in the qualifying semi at Knowsley Road - Peacock, Ellis, Toopi, Leuluai & co were immense in that game. Saints didn't have much left in the tank for the GF, despite having an extra week off.
2008 comes close for Daniel Anderson's dressing room hissy fit, not to mention things already mentioned on the thread.
2004 will always be special, but more for the result IMO.
2011 and 2012 were tremendous games but 2009 was a bit of a damp squib in comparison.

| 2007 for me.
2004 was special as well but for the game as well as the result 2007 pips it for me. Scotty Donald's try and big Ali shouting for a big effort at the scrum and crashing over in the corner. Good memory's.
All the wins have been special but 2007 stands out for me for all the above and the cracking semi against saints

| It depends how you want to look at it.
If you look at just the onfield performance then 2007 has to take it, but I preferred 2004 for many other reasons. First Championship win for 32 years – the first I’d witnessed. The ’04 home shirt was and still is my favorite, the perfect end to a nearly perfect season, drinking with friends, we hired a limo that year (it worked out cheaper for all of us than the train/buses/tram).

| I voted for 2004 for the same reasons that others have articulated.
It was the end of a long drought ... but also because it was against the arch-nemesis at that time, Bradford, and just after the Harris debacle.
