Good enough reason not to go in there then.

If you hang around long enough.
Maybe it's different now but, when Smiffy was the coach, I was always long gone before any of the team made it into the bar ... and I'd usually been there an hour listening to the entire awful repertoire of the so-called-Irish band.

The Hetherington, he was to be spotted jigging to the Irish band as well.
Fantastic.

| Am I the only person who liked the Irish band? I go all nostalgic over the songs from the folk clubs my mummy and daddy used to take me to when I was a kitten. It used to REALLY annoy Grim when I used to sing them in the car on the way home so that's a plus.
Yeah, I'm sad and to confirm, the band hasn't in the Long Bar since the Tony Smith era.

I liked them the first time I heard them, "Dirty Old Town" started to irritate on the 140th hearing though.
I've just realised its probably two or maybe three seasons since I went in there now - how much is it for a bottle of lager these days, must be, oooh, £12 is it ?

Haven’t see them Irish fellas in there for some time now, in fact these days it’s mainly Barrie Mc taking e p*ss out of the MoM.
But it’s somewhere to warm your cockles after a chilly one on the terraces.
Not quite £12 a bottle yet but I did order a pint of cider once and it cost over £6 - true story.
