| BA didn’t seem too bothered about the defence, just saying that it can happen in some games that are a bit frantic. I get hes got this no nonsense hard persona but I think he knows when to ise it on the pmsyers, I don't think he’ll be that harsh on them as he says its not as if it is happening every week, it was just one of those games.

An entertaining game tonight. Some great tries by both teams, but also some woeful defence. Why does Newman look to cause trouble every week? I think him and handley are 2 of the worst centres in the league. We defo need an upgrade. Wouldn’t renew Newmans contract after next year. Not sure why Jenkins doesn’t / didn’t get more minutes tonight. Something to build on after last weeks shambles anyway. Will have to see a big improvement to beat both Wigan and KR. Can’t see anything both those 2 in the GF Thought CM was average again. Watkins is pure class, and that dummy.
Not sure what you’re watching RE Newman he was excellent tonight and is looking like will be our only representative for England this autumn. How Wane isn’t considering Connor is ridiculous but not surprising.

The pass for Watkins 2nd try was reminiscent (for older fans) of the great John Holmes. It's starting to look like we have a proper half back pairing now, although they'll be up against the best in the league in Lewis & May next Sunday.

| If entertainment is about lots of points and terrible defence, that was the game to watch. It was like both coaches agreed beforehand it was gonna be box office, with real respect between the teams and no malice or pettiness. I’ve not seen a game played in that manner for quite some time. Jake Connor is worth the admission fee himself. Obviously neither team is a serious contender for the big one with defending like that, and it’s worrying that it came on the back of a poor performance last week. I really thought Arthur would have been into them big time and stiffened that defence up. Great game to watch, unless your a purist, but some worrying signs if we defend like that against K.R next week.

| To be fair, I think Leigh at their best are the best attacking team in the league.
I really like Lam as a coach, I wouldn't mind him taking over from BA.

| Im not overly concerned about the defence, we've been pretty solid all year.
I don't see why we can't compete with Wigan and KR, we've beaten Wigan, nearly beat KR, Wigan lost to Wakefield last week, it's not like they're miles ahead of us.
I think the signs are there, and I'd back us against both teams but next week will really show where we are.
Lots of criticism for our attack earlier in the season, but it really is starting to fire now we've got a settled spine.

| It was one of those games, not too disappointed in the defence as I think that does a disservice to Leigh's attack. They are a free flowing footy team with great switch plays and kept managing to find space out wide. A wins a win and there will not be many teams that put 40+ points against them, as long as we score more than them. Also, a change of game plan does no harm, can't play the same every week. Have to keep the oppo guessing a little sometimes

Said the same to my mate about Lam. Very entertaining game and could have been different had they not lost 2 of their key players in the backs. Pleased to see Leigh playing good attacking rugby. Agree with most on here that Newman looked much better than last week and still don`t see Handley as a centre. Also agree that Hall might only be used to take the ball out of defence and score from 10 yards. Miller, Connor and Watkins excellent. McDonnell again very poor. Was Lumb injured hence the inclusion of Edgell? Would really like to see ECW at centre with Handley on the wing at some stage but doubt BA will give in to his experiment. All in all a great game for attack and not so good for defence. A win is a win though.

| A great game to watch and another great advert for SL. We are returning to being one of the Leagues big entertainers. We haven't been that for a long time. Yeh we took our foot off the gas a bit as the game was effectively won, but we have beaten a very good Leigh side there. We're now looking like a shoe in for top 4.
Don't agree that HKR and Wigan are miles ahead. Certainly not Wigan anyway. They were lucky at Cas. KR look to be well ahead but can still see them having a blip. Hopefully starting this weekend. Tough one for us that.
Again the pack dominated and laid the platform. Connor and Croft both excellent. Connor is making the difference. Yes, the pack are much stronger, but Connor is backing it up and is always making things happen. And agree with others, what a great signing Watkins has been. Miller is so dangerous with ball in hand, but his defence is poor. Some poor attempts for their tries. But with a player like him, you just have to accept some mistakes. And McDonnell had a shocker. Maybe give him a break this week. Such a shame about Sivo, he would have finished a fair few of the winger chances that Lumb and Edgell haven't.
As I say, tough game this week. Be surprised if we get anything, but just hope we can be competitive.

| If ur telling me that Newman is good enough for England, and that he is in the top 4 (English)centres in the league then that is clearly a joke. He bites in far too often and then we are exposed out wide. He has minimal attacking threat and merely does that stupid skip mainly sideways... I would happily see him moved on after next season and he defo not a wingers centre... Equally i don;t rate Handley as a centre although he is better than Newman. I guess we are all allowed our personal views
