| Bad day at the office, first loss in 6. Nothing to go mad about. Dose of reality won’t do us any harm. Saints are never easy at their place. Best team won. We learn from it and move on.

| 5weeks of toil and the team looks like they are just that a team playing together.
But yesterday was as bad as it gets. Very Smith like performance no plan and error strewn. BA needs to make some bold decisions Hall is a has-been. The interception proved it all. In the past hall would have been between the sticks without any Saints player within 10 metres. All of the other backs ie Handley, Lumb, Newman and Miller would have run that opportunity in with ease. Miller is not a consistent full back but worth a place on the team sheet.
Until hall gets fit ( not likely ever) hall should be dropped to water carrier or if he has to play get him in as prop or 2nd row move Handley back to winger where he belongs and drop Miller into centre with Newman The big issue is who would you get at full back. Is there anyone in the reserves? Or is it time to seriously look at who is available

| Think theres some knee jerking going on with Hall here after one bad team performance.
Switching players around out of position because of one loss in 6 games is just daft.

| Miller didn't have a great game last night, but then who did.
Over the last few weeks though, he's shown he has the potential to be one of the most effective and dangerous FBs in SL.
Knee jerk reactions should be consigned to history. They contributed to the mess we've been in in the first place.

I guess we're all entitled to our opinions, but if I have to say that analysis is way off in my opinion. More importantly I don’t think any of the above would ever enter Arthur or Langley's minds. I went to the game and I can assure you that it wasn't as bad as it gets, in previous seasons it's been a lot, lot worse than that. All that said,8 we were very poor as judged against this seasons standards. It was obvious we're going to make it hard for ourselves when Miller managed to knock on at the play the ball because he was more interested in arguing with the opposition, and I thought Ash doubled down on that poor attitude throughout the first half. He's not usually prone to such petulance, but it summed up as a team perfectly; hot, irritable, and lacking patience. Positives (there were some); we defended a load of Saints possession our line very well in sweltering heat in the first half, Croft and Watkins really took on the line despite not being perfect, Lumb took his try well and did a great job with Feldt, and Lisone continued his excellent run of form. Onto Leigh next week, where I"m sure we'll be much, much better. We'll have to be.

Handley always was a winger. Miller has only played 7s which runs on fluid positions and no matter what you say Hall no longer meets criteria for a SL winger but he would make a decent forward

But Hall makes more mistakes than he ever did. He did not break a tackle last night. Lumb is a far better prospect as is Edgell. Too many people remember the good times not reality

Too many people remember the good times not reality Hall always has and always will make more mistakes than the average winger, it was the same at KR, and also towards the back end of his first spell at Headingley. It's not because he's a bad player or past it, it's because he makes more tough carries and attracts more defenders than any other winger in the league, that's why coaches (Arthur included) love him. I'll back him to set things straight next week.

Handley always was a winger. Miller has only played 7s which runs on fluid positions and no matter what you say Hall no longer meets criteria for a SL winger but he would make a decent forward Handley had his breakthrough year in the centres and was a centre growing up, he’s been great this year. Ryan Hall would not make a great forward ask him yourself, he hasn’t got the kind of stamina needed to defend in that position. He doesn’t make the criteria for a SL winger? Didn’t realise there was one. Miller has played for two NRL clubs. They will all (quite rightly) continue in their current positions.

| Thought Hall and Newman were poor last night. Twice Newman shot out of the defensive line gifting 2 try`s. Hall continued where he left off against Wire and let`s hope it`s just a blip and he goes on to score a few against Leigh. Connor plays well behind a decent pack something we didn`t have last night. I`m a fan of Bentley but he along with McDonnell and Gannon wasn`t good at all last night. Lisone my pick of the forwards and I also thought Holroyd did ok. Be tempted to bring in Ackers on the bench and replace Bentley with Jenkins as it looks like Gannon might be out next week. Saints half backs ran the show thanks to their pack dominating ours and considering they had several players out it has to go down as a very bad day at the office for us.
