| A promising performance and another good result. As Arthur Clues said, can we dare to dream ? The team seems to have good structures and the players are executing well. Rohan Smith played by the official rule book far too long and moaned when everyone other team didn’t, but Brad Arthur seems to have grasped the fact that there are official rules and the one’s deployed by the match day officials. The slightly forward pass is a must have for any team wanting to challenge for honours, and it was well disguised and executed by us on a couple of occasions yesterday. George Williams has been the master for years but in Jake Connor we have a canny operator who can be equally adept in that department. Got to say, the atmosphere in the first half was as bad as I’ve ever heard at Headingley, and the numbers from Warrington were dire for a Saturday afternoon.

| Another honest performance where we earned the right to play. Missed a couple we probably should have scored, equally we scored a couple that on another day would have been stopped. We're getting there and what I really like is how the players that perhaps were 50/50 good enough are really digging in to prove that they have what it takes. What's also good is that we've got a tough mini run coming up. Not long ago most would have been dreading it; now it feels like that extra level of challenge is exactly what's needed.

| Broadacres:
I loved how relentless our forwards were, so good to see a strong pack after the last few seasons.
Lumb's finishing is really odd, he neither goes for the contact or acrobatic corner dive, instead he drops to his knees to place the ball down, needs to work on that. His tackle on Tai was a beauty though.
Yeah he needs to learn how to finish properly, needs to watch the NRL wingers.. had to dive for the corner.. Great performance though by all. Superb stuff. We’re a good team now, won’t necessarily win anything this year but we’ll have a good go. Arthur is light years better than Rohan and you are starting to see the difference

| Yeah, gutted to be losing Gannon. One of the few potential stars we have managed to transition into the first team.
Hopefully he becomes a success in the NRL like other British forwards abd that bodes well for England at least

| How much better do the big forwards look when hitting the line at speed with support around them ?.

| To be fair to Lumb, I don't think he's athletic enough to dive for the corner like a lot of wingers do now. He's quick when he gets going, but his speed off the mark isn't great, so I don't think he has that natural explosiveness that you need to perform those types of finishes.

My view after half a season, is that he's getting a great opportunity to play and develop in the 1st team in a position that he's not destined to play in the long term. If Sivo can make a proper recovery he's going to play left wing next year, and if he'd of played this year he'd be on 15 tries or upwards. That's not Lumb's fault though; he's got a great temperament and a lot of talent. I'd guess he's the standout long term candidate to succeed Miller at fullback, although he'll have to fight that out with young Edgell in the reserves. Meantime, he has the shirt and Arthur wouldn't be picking him if he didn't think he was the best option. Like most I'd like to get a proper look at ECW but maybe the view is that he's a centre and not a winger. But of all of a sudden difficult selection options are popping up like the Dandelions in my garden. Does bode well if, as others have said, we can maintain continuity in the coaching department.

| I actually think he has the frame to develop into a winger or centre, to be honest, I'm not sure him or Edgell will be FB long term. Wade White looks like the best young full back at the club to me.

| Very good performance against a fired up Wire. We are very good at grinding teams down and hitting hard in the forwards. Lumb should have scored that try but recovered well after that incident. One player who seems to escape the criticism Saturday was Ryan Hall who must have had his worse game for a long time with both their trys ultimately coming from his errors. Connor is fast becoming my favourite player alongside Mikey Lewis. Our forwards really played well and O`Connor must have made 50 tackles yesterday. Can he do that throughout the season I`m not sure. Good substitutions at the right time too. And as for Tom Grant. He has to be the worse ref officiating that I`ve seen. He absolutely clueless and again missed the blatant offside from Fitzgibbon and then disallows the try that should have been given. Thought we also did well keeping Wanes pet Williams and Sneeeeeeyd quiet.
