Good interview/ article. I suspect when the dust settles if Lisone resigns and ECW and Frawley depart we'll have room for one more. Can't quite work out which position is the priority but I do think pace is what we are missing. Whether that's at hooker, centre or potentially in the back row I'm not sure. We do need Blease to try and make recruitment as impactful as the Connor signing if we want to close the gap between us and KR and Wigan.

| Still think we will make some signings, probably agree a Hooker to replace Frawley and if Lisone goes then another forward, maybe a line bending backrower with a bit of attacking threat. After that not much else this time. 2026 will be a different topic though.
Agree about the quality needing to be right, to move us up closer to the top and to bring the kids into the right environment.

| 9 is the obvious one for me, but Ackers will at least see out his contract, and I think Joe Diskin may be around the first team by then.

I think Lisone (if his personal situation isn't too complicated) will stay. Arthur's picked him for every single game this season, and although I'd have cheerfully shot him out of cannon at various points, it might prove very difficult to recruit a similar player from the NRL at the same cost.

I very much doubt a 9 is on our radar at all. Unless Ackers walks or is pushed, he has been very poor signing, i don’t see why OConnor gets slated, think he’s doing a great job mostly and with Diskin now playing hooker which is an interesting switch from full back, i just don't see the point in splashing cap space on a hooker. Frawley is a goner, Lisone probably too, so an other quota forward or an exceptional outside back would be my choice. Kerp one quota spit free for a mid season signing if someone comes available.

| Next year we gave a really good crop of pkayers in the 19-22 age group that we want to see progressing into first team. TNW Cassell Littlewood Both McCormack Jack Smith Qareqare Edgell
And a few bolters
All really pushing into the first team and 2-3 becoming regulars

| Lisone doesn't deserve a new contract if he's only going to put effort in when its contract time.
We needed a Kylie type player and he's never been that.
Frawley has been replaced by Connor with Sinfield as back up at 6&7.
Coach,Hooker and a proper impact prop are needed imo. Ackers hasn't cut it yet but iirc he's signed for next year and I cant see him leaving. Hoping he can come back and get firing to justify his place.

Kylie was a starting prop for most of his career at Leeds. His equivalent in the current squad is Palasia, who has made a huge difference. Frankly we've never really gone in for impact props, probably because they tend to be a bit of a luxury. With Palasia and Jenkins now on board and Oledszki and Holroyd signed up I doubt will be casting about in the NRL for potentially expensive alternatives for Lisone, who Arthur clearly doesn't see as a no hoper. I think we'll stick rather than twist on current props.

I cant see the up to date previous pages so not sure if anyones read the excellent interview with Blease on All Out Rugby league where he says we are 95% full for next season due to 8 under players not being exempt for next season which equates to £250K. Its worth a read.

| I previously said get rid of Lisone but he has performed better lately. Now this might be down to him wanting a new contract, Arthur kicking his ass or he`s now settled and performing to his ability. Time will tell. Also from what Blease is saying it`s doubtful we will be bringing in the last few pieces of the jigsaw to see us up there in the top 2. Unless of course we get rid of some, Frawley for instance and maybe Ackers and we shouldn`t be too far away imo.
