| Nine wins from 13 just about half way into the league campaign is encouraging evidence that we've finally turned the corner. The next block of 5 games; Wire at home, Saints home and away, KR away and Leigh at home will tell us if we are bona-fide top four material. Three wins from those would be a decent return, but four would be outstanding. Will be really interesting to see how we go. On balance, and without regard to previous standing at the club, the following would be my play off team, on the evidence of performances to date: Miller, Hall Newman, Handley, Lumb, Croft, Connor, Oledski, O'Connor, Jenkins, McDonnell, Gannon, Palasia. Subs - Bentley, Holroyd, Lisone, Watkins. I'm hoping the likes of Smith, Ackers and ECW can catch fire and shake things up a bit over the coming months.

IMO I'd go Miller Hall Newman Handley Lumb Croft Connor Oledski O'Connor Palasia McDonnell Gannon Watkins Subs: Smith Jenkins Bentley Holroyd I'd add that Watkins has been outstanding since he has rejoined the club and he can play 80 minutes,so I would start him at 13,but then have him as the cover in the backs too for any injuries there, and that Cam Smith would come on at 13

| A really good game and a great advert for SL. There's the top 2, the bottom 3 and the other 7 are in a great scrap for play off places. Which makes that a really good win. Wakey are no mugs and will be in the mix.
Miller going off injured completely changed the momentum of the game. And BA made some poor calls with the changes. Connor should never have gone to full back, he was totally running the game from HB. He's been a superb signing and for me, gives us the option to get a 9 from down under when Frawley goes. Lisone and Jenkins were not used well. Limited minutes and at the wrong times.
Was impressed with Newman and Hall - they really ran the ball in well. And Palasia is just really good isn't he.
Don't get the constant bagging of Bentley. Yes, he makes a mistake, but I wish they all the workrate and attitude he has. He ran his blood to water for the cause. We'll miss that when he's not there.
Hopefully the Miller injury isn't too bad. Now he's cut out the daft stuff, he really is a huge asset. If he is out, we should put Lumb to FB and ECW on the wing.
Great game though and a well deserved 2 points.

I think it should be Edgell to fullback if Miller ends up missing matches. Lumb has already played 15 games this year and the new regulations ( if they are being policed) state that he can play no more than 22. Personally I think he's due a rest and we need to take a look at ECW. That's in no way a criticism of him - he's done amazingly well in the circumstances, but these lads need looking after.

| Not a bad shout Arthur. Edgell looks to have more pace than Lumb as well.

| No bans from the game for either side, just penalty points. Seems fair all round as it was a fair game.

Not convinced Edgell has more pace than Lumb . I've always been a bit nervy when Edgell has been at full back mainly due to mistakes under the high ball

Second half massively took the shine off that win.
Handleys D was extremely poor, Bentley his usual self, bordering on sabotage he was so bad, and croft offering nothing again.
Miller was fantastic, Connor class at half and watkins really good again.
Credit Wakey aswel, they look a good, dangerous team Bentley showing right there why he should not be in the side and never given another contract. Pure brainless stupidity and no need for it totally avoidable and nearly cost us the game. Although felt a bit sorry for Lisone, not the player to bring on the field last 5 minutes in a one score game, but it also showed why he shouldn’t really get another deal. You really dislike Bentley I personally thought the sin binning was harsh.

Not convinced Edgell has more pace than Lumb . I agree with you Stanningley. Although it’s difficult to judge I’d back Lumb in a foot race from what I’ve seen. He also seems quicker off the mark. Edgell would be better at full back by virtue of a slightly bigger frame and experience in the role.

And like I said previously no mention of McDonnell making a couple of costly blunders one of which resulted in a try to Wakefield. If you remove Bentley from the 17 someone else needs to cover 30 plus tackles each game.
