| I’m away at the moment and can’t watch the games. Sounded a very close one. But it’s a very useful win none the less

| Hindsight and all that but the reshuffle took away all our threat and allowed a decent Powell coached side to play how they wanted. Upon reflection, keeping them to two 2nd half tries was a decent effort.

Second half massively took the shine off that win.
Handleys D was extremely poor, Bentley his usual self, bordering on sabotage he was so bad, and croft offering nothing again.
Miller was fantastic, Connor class at half and watkins really good again.
Credit Wakey aswel, they look a good, dangerous team Bentley showing right there why he should not be in the side and never given another contract. Pure brainless stupidity and no need for it totally avoidable and nearly cost us the game. Although felt a bit sorry for Lisone, not the player to bring on the field last 5 minutes in a one score game, but it also showed why he shouldn’t really get another deal. Lets be fair to Lisone. He has cut out the mistakes this season and the pass was just above his knees. He had no chance of taking it. Our biggest problem is BA filling the bench with forwards

| a bloody good 2 points against a serious play off rival. yes some aspect could have been better but arthur has instilled a toughness and will to win that we haven't seen for years. we'd have folded under the previous coach.

| Only saw the last 15 mins, showed resilience to keep them out, would have folded in previous seasons.
O’Connors pass to Lisone was a shocker and the Bentley challenge was never a yellow.

| Definitely a tale of 2 halves. Thought after that first half we would run up a 40 point margin. Bad decision playing Connor at FB after he and Croft were starting to build an understanding. Handley to FB with Watkins to centre should have been the call. Agree Bentley`s wasn`t a yellow but Palasia`s was. Bentley again made plenty of tackles yet seems to get blamed whereas no mention of McDonnell losing the ball in the tackle that resulted in their try. How many minutes did Jenkins get? Maybe ECW or Sinfield on the bench would have worked better even without Miller getting injured. Full credit to Wakefield who won`t be too far from the top 6 season end.

You do know there’s only 12 teams in Superleague Chapylad lol. It’s turning out to be a decent, competitive season with 8 teams at the moment capable of turning one another over. It’s just a shame the other 4 teams are so crap though, any games involving those 4 are barely worth watching now that relegation has been scrapped. That ship has sailed, but it really does make a mockery of the competition when we are not even half way through the season and a third of the teams have absolutely nothing to play for. Well done the RFL.

Re. Connor to FB, BA has said as much. Expect him to remain at 7 should the situation arise again.

| Showed up the risk of no back cover on the bench. If you lose a back you not only have to cover that, it also screws up your interchange and doesn't allow you to maximise the forward strength on the bench. It is playing to our strengths though when it works. Akers should be available next game and we cant keep playing Jarrod for 80 minutes, will be another juggling act for BA.
I'm guessing KP will accumulate a ban but could maybe serve it in the reserves next week if they have a game?
The lack of a penalty or 6 again in the second half was a joke but no surprise.

| Nine wins from 13 just about half way into the league campaign is encouraging evidence that we've finally turned the corner. The next block of 5 games; Wire at home, Saints home and away, KR away and Leigh at home will tell us if we are bona-fide top four material. Three wins from those would be a decent return, but four would be outstanding. Will be really interesting to see how we go. On balance, and without regard to previous standing at the club, the following would be my play off team, on the evidence of performances to date: Miller, Hall Newman, Handley, Lumb, Croft, Connor, Oledski, O'Connor, Jenkins, McDonnell, Gannon, Palasia. Subs - Bentley, Holroyd, Lisone, Watkins. I'm hoping the likes of Smith, Ackers and ECW can catch fire and shake things up a bit over the coming months.
