| It was an even game overall, but I thought when Leeds were patient and concentrated on being direct, we were the better team. We gifted Hull too much territory through errors, especially through our inability to defend kicks, but it was great to see us grind out a win.
It was another game where I thought we really missed a proper dummy half, JOC offers nothing from that position. I like his aggression, but he's going to jump out of the line, he needs to make good contact.

| I know I sound like a broken record but Croft offers nothing. Bag average at best. Sinfiekd is the better player, creates more and should play . I wouldn't pay Croft in washers.

| Sezer was giving Newman **** all game. From Newman I suppose it's an improvement that he kept control until after the game was won.

| I would get shut of Newman. He's got too much a chip on his shoulder and just all mouth and no trousers.
Smith is pony and has been for ages, why he was made 'captain' I don't know.
Croft was poor......again.
As for the ref. Wow. I thought he was inconsistent and when the head injury happened it was clear for most around me yet he played on!
We ground the win out. Did we deserve it? Well, you play to the final hooter and we did.

| Classic Ryan Hall finish. Interesting to hear him say post match he needs to work with Riley Lumb to stop him going for the space and going for the contact instead to finish in the corner.
He's getting knocked but thought Croft went well enough for a first run out back, was involved in most of our tries and made a match saving tackle.
Having knocked Lisone previously he was a proper impact prop yesterday, 8 carries at an average gain of 11.

| Was away on holiday last night so had to settle for SKY, but I thought it was an excellent contest that we were always in even when the scoreboard said otherwise. Winning is definitely a huge plus for us mentally. The players now know that if they stick to the plan anything is possible. Bit baffled by the criticism of Croft tbh. First game back from injury and he set up one try with a class pass and linked really well Connor and Miller for both the 3rd and 4th tries. Add in a try saving tackle and I thought he did pretty well on his return. I did think Jenkins was extremely unfortunate to have to make way for Smith and I think despite his position at the club he (Smith) is really going to have to improve to justify selection. Watkins seems a much more dynamic option at 13, and if we want to go big Palasia has also been outstanding there. Arthur proved with Frawley that he will initially respect the shirt number, but not for long, and he did have some criticism for him in the post match presser. Good problems to have though. Final point: Handley to centre has been a big success, and I'd say he and Wardle at Wigan look like the best two SL based candidates for an Ashes place.

| Yep, I agree Handley at centre has worked well. I get that some think he's better on the wing but what I don't really get is why focus there when right centre's the bigger issue. By far.

Agree with all this. Great interview by Hall, I could listen to his thoughts on the game for much longer than 5 or 6 mins. When he retires, he'll be one ex player I'd really like to see given a coaching role at the club. Be a tragedy if he ends up in the sky studio swapping views with that t!t wilkin.

| Nice to edge a close game after a couple of near misses. Looked like we’d regressed in a couple of areas, especially the kick chase near their line, although Croft’s kicks certainly don’t help. Hull certainly had the best of the kicking contest. Thought Jenkins was very unlucky to miss out, Smith walking straight back into the team was a poor call from Arthur. As for the peasants on the South Stand terrace chanting the “C” word at Will Pryce……I bet The Gentry in the central seats above nearly choked on their Foie gras. Why did Hetherington ever think that having people from Alwoodley and Bramhope sitting so close to the citizens of Seacroft and Burley would be a good idea ?

| I too thought Croft went ok for his first game back and having to play alongside Connor will take time. Give Smith a couple more games and if he played like he did on Friday drop him and play Jenkins. O`Connor too needs to improve yet he is being asked to play 80 minutes. Sinfield unlucky to lose out but not sure he is our answer to the hooking role likewise Ackers. Lisone much better and Watkins proving to be a very astute signing. When is ECW due back? As he could/should be the answer to our RC superstar.
