| Unbelievable. what a turnout yesterday.. Police reckon conservatively 200k there, but probably nearer 300k. Passed without incident too which is a huge credit to the fans. Apparently the city centre is a bomb site though.. LOL
Pleased Farke staying, he deserves a chance. Apparently Marathe told him privately a week or so back. See the transfer window opens 1st June for 10 days then reopens again 16th... lets hope we get some early business done, Farke was saying he wants players in early and not last minute.. Marathe also saying we will spend max allowed under FFP rules which is great to hear, lets hope they can get creative with it also and create some more room.. it will be interesting to see what spending power we have.

| Strong rumour doing the rounds that Marathe approached Mourihno who turned him down. I`m 50/50 wrt Farke. On one hand he deserves a chance and the players seem to like him. On the other hand he has tried and failed in the PL before without the financial backing. We will find out by the end of November if it was a shrewd decision.

| Can't see them looking at Mourihno, he doens't fit the way the club has been built to play football these last 6 years since Bielsa was hired. He totally changed the clubs philosophy and the fans love the possession based football that Farke has continued with (albeit a bit more reserved than Bielsa style), don't think the fans would put up with it, would be a bigger gamble imo.
On another note, listened to a very interesting piece on Talksport from a football financial expert about the FFP impact on clubs coming up into the Prem. They are majorly hamstrung by the rules and the only way to get it changed is the PL clubs voting to change it, which won't happen as it would be Turkey's voting for Xmas... the rules are absolutely ridiculous and it's widening the gap between promoted teams and the established Prem teams.
Leeds will need to do some very very smart recruitment.

| “Stop crying Frank Lampard”. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke. Snidiest and most over rated player I’ve ever seen.

| Sheffield United much better than the other 3 in the play offs. Once again impressed with Ballard who would be an ideal back up for Rodon. Sacamoto would fit into our 7 dwarfs set up too.

| Hi everyone. I tend to read more than post, but whilst looking at some of the players we're linked with (which seem to be taken from thin air) I thought about James Milner. Think he's 38/39, but still doing it in the Prem. Bit of an old romantic in me thinks it would be nice to see him come back, but from a playing perspective, he'd bring some much needed Premier League experience to the squad, and be a brilliant role model for the others. Looks like his contract has ended at Brighton. Wondered what others thought.

I don’t think there would be a host of clubs getting interested in James Milner at this stage of his career, especially not in the P.L. I think we would be first in the queue if similar financial packages were offered by clubs competing for his signature, but something about the lad tells me playing games would be first and foremost for him over money. That’s only my gut feeling cos I don’t know him personally. I don’t think the 49er’s do sentiment, so as a pure business decision it’s what is left of James Milner at nearly 40 ? For him as a Leeds lad and for the fans it would be a fairytale ending to an incredible career, and the sentimentalist in me would love it to happen.

Think a championship club will snap him up, not sure he's right for Leeds at this stage of his career. I think it's possible a season too late for him.. couple of years back most definitely would have been ideal. Very strong rumours around Kelleher and Tsimikas from Liverpool to Leeds.. combined for circa £35/£40m. Both would be very good additions in key areas but will see.
