| Is anyone else fed up with the referee telling the attacking player to get up rather than pinging the defending player for holding on?
I dislike the constant coaching and giving players chances too rather than pinging them.
If I was Arthur, I would tell our players when defending to lay behind the player playing the ball to slow the ruck down as the referees are now happy for players to do so. If we can cause the dummy half to take 1-2 seconds longer each play the ball to pass, then it’ll drastically help us.

| On the Murphy yellow card, it was an accident , however the problem For Murphy was he was in mid air when he knocked on and bending backwards. He was also slowed down by his knee hitting Edgell in the head , so he got it wrong by a fair margin and was Jumping ahead of the ball and took out the receiver in the head. Yes it was a”rugby incident” rather than a Deliberate foul but he got His timing wrong, so a definite penalty . What is a yellow, red or nothing is a bit of a lottery in each game but once Thaler started getting into his can you slow It down and Show me it from 3 different angles routine, Murphy was in bother.
Glad We Finally beat saints , think we are now 2 Wins in the last 19 games, so it was overdue. We did our best to lose it again but showed some good signs. I liked the Sinfield drop goal, smart lad. He’s got the potential to be a Harry Smith type. To work he needs some real pace in the spine, ala Field and French. We Don’t have a magic player like French , or any real pace at FB so need to temper expectations on Sinfield but I think he’s on the up.

| Great win against a team we have a really poor record against from the last few years. I really like Watkins at 13, thought he looked great alongside Palasia and Mik in the FR. I might be wrong on this, but did Jenkins only come on towards the end? Wonder whether he was carrying a knock.
There's clearly a mixed view on the yellow, but the reality is the refereeing of the game was absolute garbage aside from this. The ruck is so unbelievably slow, teams are not rewarded for winning the collision, and refs need to get a hold of it. It completely ruins the spectacle. The worst one was when Mik played the ball near the line, and Walmsley was lying in the ruck. You could hear the ref telling him to play the ball, and then penalised him for an incorrect PTB. Literally ridiculous!!!
I watched an interview with Peter Vlandys while he was in Vegas, he talked about how the main focus of the NRL is bringing entertainment to fans. SL seem to have the opposite agenda. They're so focussed on being pedantic over every single call, minor head know, minor crusher that never results in injury, obscene video ref interventions, they completely ruin the spectacle.

Jumping with your knees first isn't reckless though, it's what 90% of people jumping for the ball do... Seriously you can watch any game of RL back and see it happen multiple times in every single one of them. He also hasn't been charged with anything by the MRP, which also suggest that he didn't break any laws. They're not exactly shy of charging our players, either I don't actually believe murphy was watching the ball or jumped for the ball. He jumped beyond the ball which h missed and landed behind him. He jumped to put the catcher off. Edgell was in position and about to jump by the looks of his stance. If he' have jumped earlier he would have been coming down before catching the ball which came down noticably after Murphy had made contact with Edgell.

Yep couldn't agree more. Regarding the performance, it was very good, defensively superb. I've said it before but you can see that Arthur has made a huge huge difference to this side. We'd have lost that in each of the last 3 or 4 seasons.

Nowt wrong with that but that level of contact with the head is always more likely than not to draw a yellow these days

| Yep, this is spot on. If you look at the story on Sky Sports the picture on the video link has Murphy's knee banging into Edgell's head with the ball still to drop into shot behind Murphy. Murphy got his timing all wrong and unintentionally made head contact, deserved yellow.

| A Win is a win. A win for which we have no disciplinary, HIA, or Injury aftermath is a win-win. Can hardly wait for the next game...
