Mom not working out was not Smith's fault. Macdonald would still be with us if he hadn't messed the club around and got the flick. Pickings were very slim and we had to look around at short notice, and while Mom had pedigree, his injury record meant he was available.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was never fully fit at Leeds - you don't win Premierships in the NRL in the centres if you aren't physically top notch. While I get the settling issue, he never quite seemed to be fully committed either, missing a lot of pre season. I know he got married but it felt like he was treating the move to Leeds as a bit of a paid holiday.

Think that's a typo to be honest, Pete knows he's a winger.

Give over, there have been plenty that have had poorer runs.

Carl Hall, Paul Bell (another injury casualty) and more recently the likes of Clinton Toopi (who was a better backrow, also see Brett Delaney) and Liam Sutcliffe (becoming the epitomy of the Yorkshire journeyman) were all as disappointing at centre in different ways. There are plenty more if you want me to look at the heritage numbers...

Didn't look settled to me and you could see it in his performances. Wish him and his family well though.

. Don't see him being better than any of the others mentioned above tho, can't judge on Bell cos he only played a couple games.

Momirovski had a few nice cameo performances before Arthur took over but for various reasons he didn't settle in. I think the added pressure after Smith's departure probably made things worse, and there were a couple of games in which Momirovski was rightly singled out for poor defensive efforts. We don't know the circumstances, but it seems likely that there were mitigating factors. Other players might have risen to the occasion, but he isn't the only one that didn't - and there are a quite a few still contracted at the club in this category too.

Anyway, I don't like bagging players on their way out of the club. Some of the comments about the guy having slightly longer hair on here are pretty childish, where are we, Castleford in the 1950s? We should not forget the reasons our season in 2024 was bad run a lot deeper than Momirovski.

What bugs me about this guy is that there are plenty of others at Leeds (e.g. Lisone, Newman etc) who are also regularly exposed for their deficiencies but for some reason a larger group of our fanbase are prepared to give them a free ride.

Momirovski was poor for sure. Having said that he was no worse if not marginally better than Newman who I don’t think broke a tackle or made a line break all year
