| Everyone thought we were light in the forwards before the start of the season and then had 2 of the first team effectively miss the season with concussion. How Holroyd and Gannon come back will be vital as we can't have them missing huge amounts of games anymore. The last couple of games have really shown the weakness of the front row, with Handley and Miller out there's no yardage made in tackles early on in a set and we proceed to go nowhere then the props get their turn.
Big first recruitment cycle for Blease, it's what he's been brought in for and needs to deliver.

| If the aim is to re-build that Murray pack, it is going to take one hell of an off-season.
I mean, that pack contained Fleary, Farrell, Newton, Morley, Glanville and McDermott. They would struggle with the latest protocols on tackle height, no doubt. Let's not forget the RFL letter to Leeds warning us about our style of play in those days - inconceivable now.
To think that the only player who comes close in our team is James Bentley, just sums up what opposition forwards must think of playing us. Tbf, McDonnell has the right attributes, not sure about the others. I like Oledski a lot but he comes across as too much the gentleman professional.

| Agree with much of the above. We certainly can’t just spend our way out of it, it needs to be combined with top coaching and development of quality young players. We’ve not done enough of that for several years.. this season has been a bit of a shambles and the appointment of Rohan has set us back a couple of years. There’s a hell of a lot of work to do

| Catalans beat Hull by 20 points, Leeds finish 8th. Again. Shambles.

| It says a lot for how poor the bottom 4 have been, 28 points would see you get into the playoffs most seasons.

| That’s part of the problem with the way the league is, and how poor you can be and still usually get into the end of season playoffs. Winning 1 game more than you lose shouldn’t ever be rewarded with a place in the event to determine who will be champions.

The loop fixtures are an absolute joke. It should be a 14 team league, 13 home and 13 away fixtures.

| If anyone at Headingley was under any illusions as to how far off the pace this squad is, finishing eighth should remedy that. That's including loop games against London and Hull, one of which we managed to lose which at least saw the end of Rohan's time as coach. We won one game against the top three all year (against a tired Wigan) and even in a bad year for them Sts did us comfortably three times.
A tough off season, some good signings and change in approach will make a big enough difference for us to get into the play offs, but we have so much dead wood in the squad I can't see us really challenging next season. I know lots of people like to defend certain players, but based on this season's performances there are only about half a dozen players who are of the right quality or who couldn't be easily upgraded. I'm excluding the kids from that, I'm thinking first 17 when everyone's fit.
Frankly it doesn't help making signings like Ryan Hall. That was pre Blease and Arthur and was clearly a GH 'captain's call' based on some rationale other than playing ability. Nothing against Ryan, but it simply shouldn't have happened, and if anything signalled the need to bring in Blease that did.

| I don't beleive we can simply buy better players and that will sve our problems. It never has done and I doubt it will in the future. We need to bring on our own players through the club with a sprinkling of more experienced players. It will take time and I don't expect much improvement in 2025. We don't seem to have a plan or a clear development route for younger players. Until we put this right nothing will change.
I agree entirely the loop fixtures are a joke, but the league is too greedy and simply wants to shae revenue with 12 clubs and not 14. It makes RL a laughing stock.
But I will still have a season ticket next year!
