Hudson could be really good, but he’ll need a couple of years development in a professional environment to see either way.

I thought Hudson was a done deal from reports a month or so back. He has had an Achilles injury so it depends how fit he is I guess. Eseh wouldn’t cost too much he’s only 19/20 and raw; but we might need to release someone else I don’t know.

I don’t think we need another winger personally unless we do have cap left and, as Clueso says, maybe a Kershaw type comes up. Simpson will need game time and wing might be a good place to do it for a few matches.

I'd be doing everything to move at least olpherts on and have a much better 3rd wing option as it'll be needed.

Finessing the squad can either be read as adding younger players for depth, or picking up that missing piece player. As GH has said the big signings are all made, perhaps we still have one more biggie to announce after the test series?

If we are looking at depth players and not big names now as well as Hudson, you’d like to think that Eseh was one of them, also would be happy with either Kershaw or Eden.

We currently have 33 players on the books, including Hudson and also including Olpherts.

Given the stick Olpherts rightly gets for brain explosions, I can’t imagine Eden would be much of an improvement.

Olpherts made his Castleford début on 2 February 2020 against the Toronto Wolfpack. He scored his first try for the club on 7 February against Wigan. He finished the 2020 season as Castleford's joint-highest tryscorer alongside Greg Eden.

Eden is all over the place at times but he has more ability than Olpherts I think.

Kershaw probably a better option than either.

We were also linked with Harvey Smith from Wakey a while back. I reckon if Johnson decides to pack his bags we might go for Smith: otherwise maybe not. The club and CJ will have been in talks for a while now bc it was clear, when we were in for Levi, that we were going to sign another senior hooker.

I’m interested to know who else leaves and joins from here - I imagine we have our starting 17 squad already signed now.

A couple of the journos are hinting of another signing after Hudson.

After Hetherington stated all big signings are made, one even pointed out that his statement doesn't necessarily mean the signings have all being announced yet.

I know we have no quota space left, but as he’s been mentioned on here a couple of times, Iro has had a good game for the Cook Islands this morning (the game in general has been good tbf)

Steven Marsters the other centre also looks like he deserves to be playing at a higher level. Played a couple of games at the Rabbitohs but playing at a level below QLD/NSW cup currently.
