Wishart would tick a lot of boxes for me but his utility value makes him very useful to the storm when origin comes round, can’t see him being let go.

Volkman could be a good shout. I know Johnson and Metcalf (might have spelt it wrong) have been really good for the warriors this year but it’d still look like the kids only an injury away from first grade. He might still have NrL hopes with Johnson close to the end of his career too.

I think ultimately I’d rather take a flier on a younger player with a higher ceiling than a potential steady at best option in frawley.

Only just turned 21 Volkmann, some pressure for a young lad to travel to the other side of the world and turn Leeds fortunes around in the halves and would need the other half of that combination to bring some quality and experience.

In an odd way that write up makes him seem almost too good to come. You'd hope that Rohan’s reputed contacts in the NSW/Queensland Cup would give us an edge. Obviously a big element of risk in bringing over a 21 year old, but you just know if somebody else were to role the dice he'll be MOS.

But why would that young player, whos dream is probably playing in the NRL, give up the chance to potentially break through into the NRL and come to Super league?

It can work in their favour, look at Clifford, he's come over and been picked up after one year of playing well. Its certainly a risk for a young player though
